Cooling, cleaning, cooking, and laundry — diagnosed carefully and quoted before repair.
Four Details Help Us Bring the Right Parts
You do not need to diagnose the problem. A little practical information helps us arrive better prepared.
The Model Number
Usually inside the door, behind a drawer, or on the rear label. A photo is perfect.
What It Is Doing
Noises, leaks, error codes, temperatures, and when the problem began are all useful clues.
A Time Window
Choose a morning or afternoon window; we text when the technician is on the way.
Clear Access
A little room around the appliance lets us test safely and protects your cabinets and floors.

Diagnosis Before Parts, and the Price Before Repair
Appliance repair gets expensive when someone guesses. Hearthline was built around a simpler rule: prove the failure first. Our technicians test the electrical, mechanical, water, airflow, and control systems that can create the same symptom, then explain what failed in plain language. The $89 diagnostic visit covers that work and is applied in full when you approve the repair. You see the complete price — parts and labor — before we begin. If the appliance is near the end of its useful life, the needed part is unavailable, or replacement is genuinely the wiser use of your money, we will say so. Fourteen years in Columbus has taught us that an honest no-repair recommendation earns more trust than a repair that should never have been sold.
- ✓Test the system, not just the symptom
- ✓One complete price before work begins
- ✓$89 diagnostic fee credited to repair
- ✓An honest repair-or-replace recommendation
$89 to Diagnose. Applied in Full to the Repair.
You approve one complete price before parts are installed. If repair does not make financial sense, we tell you plainly.
What a Proper Repair Visit Includes
The job is not finished when the appliance merely turns back on.
A Measured Diagnosis
We test the likely systems and confirm the failed component instead of swapping parts until the symptom disappears.
A Complete Upfront Price
Parts, labor, and the diagnostic credit are explained before repair. No surprise line items after the work.
A Full-Function Test
We run the appliance through the relevant cycle, check temperatures, drainage, airflow, or ignition, and verify the fix.
A 90-Day Labor Warranty
If our workmanship causes the same issue to return, we come back and make it right. Parts carry their stated warranty too.
Repairs We Handle Every Week
Real appliance problems, methodical diagnosis, and a clean handoff when the cycle is complete.

Broken to Working in Four Clear Steps
Book quickly, know the price, and see the repair tested before we leave.
Tell Us What Broke
Send the appliance type, model number if handy, and what it is doing. We match the right technician and parts stock.
We Diagnose It
Your technician tests the system, identifies the failure, and explains whether the repair is worth making.
You Approve the Price
You receive one complete repair price. The $89 diagnostic fee is credited when you say yes.
We Repair and Test
We install the part, run a functional test, clean the work area, and leave the labor warranty in writing.

Repair It or Replace It? We Show You the Math.
A good repair is often the most economical and least wasteful answer, but not every appliance deserves another part. We weigh the quoted repair against the cost of a comparable replacement, the appliance's age and condition, part availability, energy use, and whether one failure points to several more. A three-year-old refrigerator with a failed relay is usually an easy yes. A fifteen-year-old dishwasher with a corroded tub may be a firm no. You get the reasoning, not a sales pitch, and the decision stays yours.
- ✓Repair cost versus comparable replacement
- ✓Age, overall condition, and likely remaining life
- ✓Part availability and warranty coverage
- ✓Safety, efficiency, and repeat-failure risk
We Trace the Failure Behind the Symptom
Different faults can look identical from the outside. Proper testing keeps you from buying the wrong part.
Cooling & Sealed Systems
Airflow, sensors, defrost, fans, relays, compressors, and refrigerant work handled by EPA-certified technicians.
Fill, Drain & Leak Paths
Valves, pumps, hoses, seals, pressure switches, filters, and the connections around the appliance.
Heat & Ignition
Elements, igniters, thermostats, thermal fuses, gas ignition, and temperature calibration.
Drive & Motion
Motors, belts, bearings, clutches, rollers, pulleys, and the loads that caused the wear.
Controls & Sensors
Power, wiring, switches, boards, locks, sensors, and communication errors tested before replacement.
Airflow & Venting
Dryer airflow, condenser paths, lint restriction, ventilation, and overheating risks checked as one system.
Appliance Repair, Answered Clearly
What does the $89 diagnostic fee cover?
It covers the technician's visit and the testing needed to identify the actual failure, not just the visible symptom. Once the diagnosis is complete, you receive one total repair price that includes parts and labor. If you approve the repair, the full $89 is credited toward that price. If you decline, you pay only the diagnostic fee and keep the written findings so you can make an informed replacement decision.
Will you quote a repair before the visit?
We can explain the diagnostic fee and sometimes give a broad range, but we will not pretend to know the final repair price before testing the appliance. A washer that will not drain could need a simple obstruction cleared, a pump, wiring repair, or a control board, and those are very different jobs. The accurate price comes after diagnosis and before any repair begins.
Can you usually finish the repair in one appointment?
Often, yes. We ask for the model number and symptoms before dispatch so the technician can stock the most likely parts, and our vans carry common components for the appliance types we service. Specialty boards, cosmetic pieces, and less common sealed-system parts may require an order. If that happens, we explain the timeline and do not charge a second diagnostic fee for the return visit.
Do I need to move the appliance before you arrive?
No. Please leave the appliance connected unless there is an active leak, burning smell, sparking, or another immediate safety concern. Clear loose items from around it and make sure an adult can provide access. Our technicians bring floor protection and the equipment needed to move most residential appliances safely.
Which brands do you service?
We work on most major residential brands, including Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, GE, Frigidaire, Electrolux, Bosch, LG, Samsung, and others. Brand service does not imply factory authorization. Send the model number when you book so we can confirm parts access and technician fit before scheduling.
How do I know whether to repair or replace the appliance?
We compare the complete repair price with the cost of a comparable replacement, then factor in age, overall condition, part availability, energy use, and the likelihood of another major failure. We explain that reasoning after diagnosis and tell you plainly when replacement is the better value. The decision is yours, and there is no pressure either way.
