Alignment & Suspension Services
From a precision alignment to worn suspension and steering — the cause of the pull, fixed properly.

Indianapolis's Alignment & Suspension Shop
Alignment sounds simple, but doing it right is a specialty — and doing it wrong is why so many people pay for an 'alignment' that never actually fixes the pull. For twenty-four years, Trueline has focused on exactly this work, and the difference shows in how we approach it. A pulling, wandering car or one that's eating tires almost always has an underlying cause: a worn tie rod, a bad ball joint, a tired bushing, a sagging spring, or shot struts. A shop that just clamps on the machine and adjusts the toe without addressing those worn parts is chasing the symptom, and the problem — and the uneven tire wear — comes right back. We inspect the entire suspension and steering system first, identify what's actually causing the misalignment, repair or replace the worn components, and then perform a precise computerized alignment to factory specification, followed by a real road test to confirm the car drives dead straight. It's why people come to us with the pull that other shops couldn't fix, the tires they keep replacing too soon, and the ride that's gotten harsh and floaty. We handle the full picture — alignment, suspension, steering, shocks and struts — and we do the modified-vehicle alignments (lifted trucks, lowered cars) that require real expertise to get right. Straight steering, a comfortable ride, and tires that last are all connected, and getting all three is what a proper alignment and suspension shop delivers. If your car doesn't drive the way it should, bring it to the specialists.

Why Drivers Trust Us With Alignment
Three things a real alignment shop gets right.
We Align to Spec
Precise, computerized, to factory specification — and road-tested straight. Not a rushed, toe-only adjustment.
We Fix What Causes Pull
The worn tie rod, ball joint, or bushing behind the misalignment — repaired, so the alignment actually holds.
We Protect Your Tires
A proper alignment is the cheapest way to make tires last. We fix the wear cause, not just rotate and hope.

Pulls, Wanders, or Eats Tires? Start Here
Your car is usually trying to tell you when its alignment or suspension needs attention, and catching it early saves you both money and a set of tires. The most obvious sign is a pull — the car drifts to one side when you let go of the wheel — but there are others just as telling: a steering wheel that sits off-center when you're driving straight, a vague or wandering feel that has you constantly making small corrections, a shimmy or vibration, or clunks and harshness over bumps that point to worn suspension. And then there are the tires themselves, which are the clearest evidence of all: uneven wear across the tread, feathering, or one edge wearing faster than the other are all telltale signs that your alignment is off or a suspension component is worn, and every mile you drive on it is grinding money off tires that should last far longer. The trouble is that these symptoms all share overlapping causes — a bad alignment, a worn steering or suspension part, or tired shocks and struts can each produce them — which is exactly why proper diagnosis matters and a toe-only 'alignment' so often fails. We read the whole picture: the wear pattern, the suspension condition, and the alignment angles together, so we find the actual cause and fix it once. If your car is doing any of these things, don't wait for it to eat another set of tires. Bring it in, we'll diagnose it honestly, and we'll get it driving straight, riding smooth, and wearing its tires evenly again.
- ✓Pulling, wandering, or off-center wheel
- ✓Uneven or fast tire wear
- ✓Harsh or floaty ride, clunks over bumps
- ✓One honest diagnosis, fixed at the cause
Straight, Smooth, and Even
A look at the alignment and suspension work coming out of Trueline.

Drivers Who Trust Us
My steering wheel was off-center and the car pulled hard to the right, and two other shops just did a quick 'alignment' that never actually fixed it. Trueline inspected the suspension first, found a worn tie rod and a bad bushing that were causing it, replaced them, and then aligned it properly — and now it drives dead straight for the first time in years. They explained everything with the printout and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. This is what a real alignment shop does. My tires will thank them too. Highly recommend.
I was going through front tires way too fast and nobody could tell me why. Trueline diagnosed it as a suspension and alignment problem, showed me the uneven wear pattern and exactly what was causing it, and fixed the root cause instead of just rotating the tires and sending me off. The ride is dramatically better too — I hadn't realized how worn my struts were until they replaced them. Honest, precise, and clearly specialists at this. If your car pulls, wanders, or eats tires, this is the place in Indy.
After lowering my car I needed a proper alignment, and Trueline is one of the few shops in Indianapolis that actually got it right — they know how to align a modified car to spec and dialed it in perfectly. No more crooked steering wheel, no more uneven tire wear, and it handles beautifully. Their equipment is clearly top-notch and they take the time to do it correctly rather than rushing it through. You can tell alignment and suspension is their specialty, not a sideline. I won't take my car anywhere else for this. Worth every penny.
Alignment & Suspension, Answered
How do I know if my car needs an alignment?
Your car usually gives you clear signals, and learning to read them saves you money and tires. The classic sign is a pull — if you're driving on a straight, flat road and the car drifts to one side when you loosen your grip, your alignment is likely off. Another obvious one is a steering wheel that isn't centered when you're going straight, or a vague, wandering feeling that has you constantly correcting. But the most telling evidence is your tires: uneven wear across the tread, one edge wearing faster than the other, or a feathered pattern all point to an alignment or suspension problem, and driving on it just wastes tire life. Vibration, clunks over bumps, or a ride that's gotten harsh or floaty can also indicate worn suspension parts that affect alignment. If you notice any of these — or if you've just hit a bad pothole, installed new tires, or had suspension work done — it's worth getting checked. We'll measure everything, show you exactly what's out of spec, and tell you honestly whether you need an alignment, a suspension repair, or nothing at all. Catching it early is always cheaper than a new set of tires.
Why does my car still pull after another shop aligned it?
This is one of the most common problems we fix, and the reason is almost always the same: the underlying cause of the misalignment was never addressed. An alignment machine adjusts the angles of your wheels, but if a suspension or steering component is worn — a tie rod, a ball joint, a control-arm bushing, a bad wheel bearing — then the geometry won't stay put, and the car will pull or wander again shortly after a 'successful' alignment. A shop that just clamps on the sensors and adjusts the toe without inspecting for and replacing worn parts is treating the symptom, not the cause. That's exactly why we inspect the entire steering and suspension system before we touch the alignment: we find the worn component that's actually responsible, repair it, and then align to spec, so the alignment holds and the pull is gone for good. Sometimes it's also a matter of doing the alignment correctly and completely rather than a quick toe-only adjustment. If you've paid for an alignment that didn't fix the pull, bring it to us — we'll diagnose what the last shop missed and fix it properly, once.
Can a bad alignment really ruin my tires?
Absolutely — a poor alignment is one of the fastest and most expensive ways to destroy a set of tires, and it's completely preventable. When your wheels aren't aligned to specification, the tires are essentially being dragged across the road at a slight angle instead of rolling straight and true, and that scrubbing wears the tread unevenly and prematurely. Depending on which angle is off, you might see the inner or outer edge wearing down while the rest of the tread looks fine, a feathered pattern you can feel by running your hand across the tread, or cupping. A significant misalignment can ruin an otherwise-good set of tires in just a few thousand miles, which is real money — and it's money spent replacing tires that should have lasted tens of thousands of miles longer. That's why we call a proper alignment the cheapest tire insurance there is: the cost of an alignment is small compared to a premature set of tires, and it also improves your fuel economy, handling, and safety. If your tires are wearing unevenly, don't just replace them and repeat the cycle — let us find and fix the alignment or suspension cause first, so your new tires actually go the distance.
Do you align lifted trucks and lowered cars?
Yes, and modified-vehicle alignment is genuinely a specialty that a lot of general shops don't do well. When you lift a truck or lower a car, you change the suspension geometry significantly, and getting the alignment right afterward takes both the correct equipment and real knowledge of how those modifications affect the angles — sometimes it also requires specific adjustable components or hardware to bring everything back into a proper range. Done poorly, a modified vehicle will wander, wear tires badly, and handle worse than it should, which undoes a lot of the point of the build. We have the experience and equipment to align lifted and lowered vehicles correctly, dialing in the geometry so your modified vehicle drives well, tracks straight, and wears its tires evenly. We'll also give you honest advice — if a particular setup is going to cause alignment or tire-wear problems that can't be fully corrected, we'll tell you, so you can make informed decisions about your build. Whether you've just done the modification or you're fighting handling and tire issues afterward, bring it in and we'll get it aligned the way it should be.
