An off-the-shelf or 'canned' tune is a generic calibration written for a generic car — it has no idea what your specific modifications, fuel quality, altitude, or the Las Vegas heat are doing to your engine. At best it leaves power on the table; at worst it runs your engine lean or overboosted and you won't know until something fails. A dyno tune, which is what we do, is developed on our in-house AWD dyno with your actual car under real load. We watch air-fuel ratio, timing, boost, and knock live, and we dial the calibration in specifically for your setup and environment. That lets us safely extract the real power your car is capable of while keeping it in a safe operating window — and we prove the gains with before-and-after dyno sheets. It costs more than a flash, but it makes more power, drives better, and protects your engine. For anyone serious about their car, it's the only way to tune.

Not when it's done properly — and doing it properly is the whole point of a real tuner. Unreliable modified cars are almost always the result of cheap canned tunes, mismatched parts, or shops chasing a big peak dyno number to brag about without regard for longevity. We do the opposite. We build power conservatively where it counts, tune with safe air-fuel ratios and sensible boost, make sure your supporting systems (fuel, cooling, clutch) can handle the added power, and dial everything in under load on the dyno. We'll also tell you honestly when a modification is more than your setup can safely support. It depends heavily on your specific car and what modifications it has, so we'll give you a realistic estimate for your exact setup rather than a hype number. On a turbocharged or supercharged car, a proper tune and supporting mods can yield substantial, very noticeable gains; on a naturally aspirated car the percentage gains are smaller but the improvement in drivability and throttle response is often just as satisfying. What matters more than the peak figure is the whole power curve, the drivability, and doing it safely — a well-tuned car that makes power everywhere and lasts is far better than one that hits a big number once.
