Baked to Order — A Home Bakery in Raleigh
Cookies, cakes, and cinnamon rolls made in small batches in my home kitchen, for pickup, local delivery, and Sunday markets — real ingredients, real care, from my countertop to yours.

Made Small-Batch, to Order
A short, rotating menu of the things I love to make most — plus custom orders for whatever you're celebrating.

It Started With a Countertop and a Cause
Hi, I'm the baker behind Countertop. What started as after-work stress baking — trays of cookies I foisted on grateful coworkers — turned into a cottage-licensed home bakery four years ago, and it's the best decision I've ever made. I bake everything myself, in small batches, in my own kitchen in Five Points.
Baking to order means every cookie, cake, and cinnamon roll is made fresh for you — nothing sits in a case, nothing is mass-produced. I use real butter, good chocolate, and local eggs, and I put the same care into a dozen cookies for a Tuesday as I do a wedding's worth of cake. It's a small operation on purpose. That's how I keep it personal, and how I keep it good.

Ordering Is Easy and Personal
No app, no middleman — just you, me, and something delicious made to order.
Tell Me What You Want
Send me your treat, your date, and any details through the order form. Custom cakes and big orders need more notice.
We Sort the Details
I'll confirm flavors, size, and pickup, and send you a simple quote. For customs, we'll dream it up together.
I Bake It Fresh
Your order is baked to order in small batches the day of pickup — never frozen, never sitting, always at its best.
You Pick It Up
Grab your order at my Five Points pickup, at the Sunday market, or ask about local delivery. Then, enjoy every bite.
The Difference You Can Taste
This isn't a factory. It's a kitchen, and that changes everything.
Made in a Home Kitchen
Cottage-licensed, small-batch, and personal — the way baking is supposed to be, by one person who cares.
Baked Fresh to Order
Nothing sits in a case. Your order is made the day you pick it up, so it's always at its absolute best.
Real, Simple Ingredients
Real butter, good chocolate, local eggs, no fillers — the pantry you'd want your own baking to come from.
As Personal as It Gets
You're ordering from the person who bakes it. Every order matters, and every one gets my full attention.

Let's Make Something Just for You
The custom orders are my favorite. A birthday cake in your kid's favorite colors, a cookie box for a baby shower, a dessert table for a small wedding — tell me what you're celebrating and I'll make something that's truly yours.
Because it's just me, I take a limited number of custom orders each week, which means every one gets real attention and never feels rushed or cookie-cutter. Reach out early — especially for cakes and busy weekends — and let's dream something up together. There's no order too small to matter and no detail too little to sweat. That's the whole point of baking to order.

Raleigh Has a Favorite Baker
Countertop's brown butter chocolate chip cookies are the best I've ever had, and I do not say that lightly. Thick, gooey, a little salty — I order a box for every occasion and half of them mysteriously disappear before the occasion. Baked with real love, and you can taste it.
She made my daughter's birthday cake and it was more beautiful than anything I could have ordered from a fancy shop — and somehow tasted even better. Personal, thoughtful, and clearly made by someone who cares about every detail. We've found our forever baker.
The cinnamon rolls are a Sunday event in our house now. We grab a tray at the market and they don't survive the walk home. Everything is fresh, generous, and made in small batches with obvious care. Supporting a local home baker has never tasted this good.
I ordered a cookie box for a work event and it made me look like a hero. Beautifully packaged, every cookie perfect, and she made the whole process effortless. This is what happens when someone bakes because they love it, not because it's a job. Ten stars.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much notice do you need for an order?
For cookies and simpler bakes, a few days is usually plenty. For custom cakes, big orders, and busy weekends, please reach out a week or two ahead so I can give your order the attention it deserves. Since it's just me, I take a limited number of orders each week — the sooner you ask, the better.
How do I get my order?
Most orders are pickup at my place in Five Points on Thursday through Saturday, or at the Sunday farmers market. I also offer local delivery within Raleigh for a small fee — just ask when you order and I'll let you know what works for your area and date.
Are you a licensed bakery?
Yes — I'm a cottage-licensed home bakery, which means I'm permitted to bake and sell from my home kitchen under North Carolina's cottage food rules. Everything is made by me, in small batches, with real ingredients and real care. Small operation, serious about the details.
Can you make custom cakes and orders?
Absolutely — custom orders are my favorite thing to do. Birthday cakes, cookie boxes, dessert tables for small events — tell me the occasion, flavors, and any inspiration, and I'll make something just for you. Reach out early for cakes and busy weekends, as my custom slots fill up.
Do you have gluten-free or vegan options?
I can often make gluten-friendly or vegan versions of some bakes with enough notice — just ask when you order. As a home kitchen that works with flour, butter, and eggs, I can't promise an allergen-free environment, but I'm always honest about what I can safely make for you.
Where do I pick up, and where's the market?
Pickup is in the Five Points neighborhood of Raleigh (I'll share the exact spot when you order), and you'll find my stand at the Sunday farmers market. Follow along on social for market dates and pop-ups around town. I can't wait to bake for you.
