Sprinkle Theory started in a tiny South Lamar kitchen with one theory: that a really good cupcake can turn an ordinary Tuesday into a small celebration. Seven years later, we're still testing it — one swirl at a time — and the results are extremely conclusive.
We bake everything fresh each morning with real butter, real vanilla, and frosting we could honestly eat by the spoonful (we do). Nothing sits overnight, nothing comes from a box, and every cupcake leaves the shop looking like it's ready for its close-up. It's joy, engineered.

Sprinkle Theory cupcakes are dangerous — the salted caramel is a religious experience and the frosting-to-cake ratio is absolute perfection. We order a dozen for every office birthday and they vanish in about four minutes flat. Nobody does it better in Austin.
They built a three-tier cupcake tower for my daughter's unicorn party and it was the star of the whole thing — every kid (and every parent) went back for seconds. Gorgeous, delicious, and so easy to work with. Lifesavers.
The cake jars are my toxic trait. Layers of cake and frosting in a jar you can eat with a spoon at your desk? Genius. I've single-handedly kept them in business and I regret nothing. The funfetti is elite.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much notice do you need for an order?
For a dozen or two, same-day or next-day is usually no problem — just call and we'll tell you what's in the case. For custom towers, big boxes, or specific themes, we recommend two to five days so we can make it perfect. The more notice, the more we can do.
Do you do custom flavors and colors?
We love a custom order. Tell us your theme, colors, and any flavor dreams, and we'll design cupcakes or a tower to match. We can pull from our forty-plus rotating flavors or riff on something special for a bigger event.
Do you have gluten-free or vegan options?
Yes — we bake a rotating selection of gluten-friendly and vegan cupcakes daily, and can often make a batch to order with notice. As a flour-and-sugar shop we can't promise an allergen-free kitchen, but call ahead and we'll take great care of you.
Can you deliver?
We deliver across Austin for larger orders, towers, and events — beautifully boxed and right on time. Delivery is quoted based on distance and order size. Smaller orders are ready for easy pickup at the South Lamar shop.
Do you cater corporate events?
Absolutely, and it's one of our favorite things. From a dozen for a team birthday to hundreds for a launch, we'll box a flavor for everyone and make you look like the office hero. Send your headcount and date and we'll take it from there.
Where are you, and is there parking?
We're right on South Lamar Blvd in the 78704, with a little lot out front and street parking nearby. Follow the smell of vanilla — it's usually pouring out the door. We can't wait to sugar you up.
