Over a decade later, we've become a home. Our barbers are master craftsmen — precise with a fade, sharp on a lineup, and real artists when it comes to designs — but what keeps people coming back is the energy: good music, real conversation, and a shop that reflects the community it serves. Been getting cut all over Atlanta and nobody touches the fade at Crown & Kings. My barber blends it so clean there's not a line out of place, and the lineup is razor sharp every single time. Do I need to book or can I walk in?
Both work at Crown & Kings. We keep chairs open for walk-ins every day we're open, so you can absolutely just pull up off Edgewood — though on weekends the wait can stretch. Booking online takes under a minute and lets you lock in your specific barber and time, which we'd recommend if you're particular about who cuts you or you're on a schedule. Either way, you're getting the same clean fade and the same respect for your time.
How much is a fade or a cut and beard?
A skin fade is $40, a lineup or edge-up on its own is $22, and a full cut paired with beard work is $52. Custom hair designs start at $15 depending on the detail, kids' cuts are $28, and a standalone beard detail is $25. Every service includes a consultation and a photo-ready finish, and our pricing is clear and up front — what you see is what you pay, with no surprise add-ons when you're in the chair.
Can you do custom hair designs?
Absolutely — design work is one of the things we're known for. Our barbers freehand custom patterns, parts, names, and graphics right into your fade, and they treat it like the art form it is. You're welcome to bring a reference photo of exactly what you want, or describe the vibe and let the artist run with it. Simple designs start around $15 and more intricate work is priced by the detail. Whatever you're picturing, there's a barber here who can bring it to life clean.
Are you good with kids and first cuts?
Very — and we take it seriously. A kid's first fade is a big moment, and our barbers are patient, encouraging, and great at making the young kings feel comfortable and hyped in the chair. Kids' cuts are $28 and include the same clean fade and lineup we give everyone. Plenty of our regulars started coming in as kids themselves, and now they bring their own — first cuts turning into Saturday traditions is honestly one of our favorite things about the shop.
How do I keep my fade looking fresh?
The secret is a quick lineup between full cuts. A fade looks its sharpest in the first week or two, and a $22 lineup and edge-up around the one-to-two-week mark keeps those edges crisp and buys you real time before you need the full cut again. Most of our regulars run on a full fade every two to three weeks with a lineup in between. Rebook before you leave and we'll get you on a rhythm that keeps you looking day-one clean.
Can I request a specific barber?
Of course, and a lot of our clients do. When you book online you can choose your barber directly, and if you're walking in you can ask for whoever you like — we'll let you know their wait. Building a relationship with one barber is worth it: they learn your fade, your lineup, your beard, and exactly how you like it, so every cut gets more dialed in than the last. If you're new, tell us what you're after and we'll match you with the right barber for it.
