Cellular Shades in Tulsa
Honeycomb shades that help hold back Oklahoma heat in summer and cold glass in winter, made to measure and fitted by our own team.
Five Ways To Shade A Window
Every one is made to measure. Not sure which? The comparison below helps.
Which Shade For Which Job
Best For Heat And Cold: Cellular
The air pockets add a layer between the room and the glass. Double cell does more than single.
Best For Glare And View: Solar
Solar fabric cuts screen glare and sun on furniture while you still see outside.
Best For Sleep: Blackout
Blackout cellular or roller shades, mounted inside the frame with tight side gaps.
Best For Privacy With Light: Top‑Down
Drop the shade from the top. Passers-by see the shade, you see the sky.
Best For Texture: Woven Wood
Natural bamboo and grass weaves for living rooms and sunrooms.
Best For Wet Rooms: Faux Wood
Wipe-clean slats that won't warp near a sink or a shower.

Shades, Explained Plainly
Dorsett is a small studio off Brookside that does shades and nothing fancy around them. We start with the problem in the room: heat, glare, privacy or sleep. Then we show you two or three options that solve it, with prices, and measure while we're there. No pressure and no upselling a whole house when one window is the issue.

Rooms Around Tulsa

Three Things To Decide
Inside Or Outside Mount
Inside the frame looks neat. Outside blocks more light. We check the depth of each window.
Light Filtering Or Blackout
Bedrooms usually want blackout. Living rooms usually don't.
Cordless Or Motorized
Cordless is standard. Motorized is worth it for tall or hard-to-reach windows.

Start With The West Windows
If the budget is tight, shade the windows that take the late afternoon sun first. Double-cell or blackout cellular shades there make the biggest difference, and the rest of the house can follow later. We'll tell you honestly which windows matter most.
- ✓West and south windows first
- ✓Double-cell for the hottest rooms
- ✓Add the rest when you're ready

Cellular Shades FAQ
How much do cellular shades cost?
Our single-cell shades start around $110 a window and double-cell around $140, measured and installed. Blackout, top-down bottom-up and motorized options add to that. You get a written quote after the free measure.
Do cellular shades really help with energy bills?
They add insulation at the window, which helps rooms that overheat or feel cold near the glass. How much it saves depends on your windows and how you use the shades, so we won't promise a number.
Single cell or double cell?
Double cell insulates more and blocks a little more light. It's worth it on west and south windows. Single cell is fine for most other rooms.
Can I clean cellular shades?
Yes. Dust with a soft brush or a vacuum on low. Spot-clean marks with a damp cloth.
Do you come to Jenks, Bixby and Broken Arrow?
Yes, and the rest of the Tulsa area. The measure is free wherever you are.
