Custom Blinds FAQ
How much do custom blinds cost?
Our faux-wood blinds start around $95 a window and cellular shades around $120, measured and installed. Shutters and motorized shades cost more. A whole home usually runs from $1,000 to $3,000, and you get a written quote after the free measure.
Is the in-home measure really free?
Yes. The visit, the measure and the quote cost nothing, and there's no obligation to order.
How long does a custom order take?
Most blinds and shades arrive in two to four weeks. Plantation shutters take four to six. We book the install as soon as your order lands.
Should blinds go inside or outside the window frame?
Inside the frame looks neater and shows off the trim. Outside the frame blocks more light and suits shallow frames. We check the depth of each window and recommend one.
Can I add motorization later?
On many shades, yes. Tell us at the measure if you might want it, and we'll choose a style that can take a motor.
Do you repair or replace old blinds?
We don't repair blinds, but we replace them, and we'll take down and haul away the old ones when we install the new.
