The whole business is a three-group lever machine, a grinder, a 30-gallon water tank and a very quiet inverter generator, all on a cart that measures 34 inches across. That number matters more than anything else here: it means we can set up in a lobby, on a lawn, in a car park, on a gravel trailhead, or in a barn with a doorway built in 1940.
The alternative most people are quoted is a converted van or trailer, which is a lovely thing and needs a fourteen-foot flat approach, somewhere to turn around, and often a permit your venue doesn't have. We've walked our cart down a garden path to a wedding in Tumalo and set up on the concourse of an office lobby in the same week.
Six years, 340 events, two of us on every one of them. Nobody subcontracts this and there is no third-party barista who has never met the machine.

Four Steps, One Day to a Number
No site visit, no discovery call, no proposal deck. This is a coffee cart and the process should take a day.
Send Three Things
Date, location and rough headcount. That's genuinely all we need to quote. If you know your service window, add it, but a guess is fine at this stage.
A Real Number Within a Day
In writing, itemised, with the travel charge and any second-barista call spelled out. If your date is already booked you'll hear that in the same reply rather than after a week of silence.
$200 Holds It
Deducted from the total, refundable up to 14 days out. No contract longer than a page. We've never taken a deposit for a date we couldn't work.
We Arrive 90 Minutes Early
Set up, dial in the grinder against the actual weather that day, and be pulling shots before your first guest wants one. You will not be asked for anything on the morning.
Where the Cart Has Been
Ranches outside Sisters, office car parks in Bend, a trailhead at Tumalo Falls at six in the morning, and the Wednesday market all summer.
What Clients Say
They quoted us in writing in about four hours, showed up at a ranch outside Sisters with their own generator, and served 140 people in ninety minutes without a queue forming. Three other vendors that day needed something from us. Pinemark needed a flat patch of dirt.
We book them for the first Friday of every month for the office. Same two people, same cart, and by month three they knew forty of our staff by drink. Our head of people says it's the cheapest thing we do that anyone actually mentions.
Asked whether they could do a 6am start at a trailhead with no power and no water. The answer was yes, plus a list of exactly what they'd need from us, which was almost nothing. Every other quote I got came back with conditions.
Questions We Get Every Week
How far in advance should I book?
Weddings, three to six months for a Saturday between June and September — those go first. Offices and parties, two weeks is usually plenty. If your date is close, ask anyway; we've filled a Friday with four days' notice more than once.
What if it rains?
We work in it. The cart has a canopy and we've served a wedding in horizontal sleet outside Sisters. The only weather that stops us is one where your guests can't stand outside either, and in that case we move indoors — which is the whole point of a 34-inch cart.
Do you need power?
No. One standard outlet is nice and we'll use it, but the generator lives on the cart and runs quiet enough to sit thirty feet from a ceremony. Just tell us which one you're giving us so we pack accordingly.
How many people can you serve?
One barista does about 60 drinks an hour without a queue forming. Two does about 110. Over 150 guests we'll insist on the second — it's $220 and it's the difference between a nice moment and a twenty-minute line.
Can you do decaf and non-dairy?
Both, always, at no extra charge and without needing warning. Oat, whole and almond travel on every event, and there's a decaf hopper on the grinder. Nobody should have to ask in advance to be included.
Is there a minimum?
Two hours of service, or a $350 call-out on the cash-bar option. Hosted bars start at 60 guests. Below that the maths stops working for either of us and we'll say so.
Do you travel outside Bend?
Constantly. Sisters, Redmond, Sunriver, Tumalo and Prineville are all normal. Past thirty miles from Bend it's $1.20 a mile, quoted up front, and we've done Hood River and Crater Lake for the right event.
Can we see you before booking?
Yes, and we'd rather you did. Bend farmers market on Wednesdays and Sisters on Fridays, May to October. Come and have one, and ask us anything with the machine running.
