About Saltline

Sixteen Years of Salt, Sun & Shine

Saltline was founded by lifelong San Diego boaters who got tired of watching beautiful vessels go dull under the bay's relentless salt and UV. We detail dockside — at Shelter Island, Harbor Island, and marinas across the bay — working carefully around hardware, electronics, and brightwork. From a weekend sailboat to a 60-foot motor yacht, every vessel gets the patience and marine-specific products it deserves.

  • Dockside at marinas bay-wide
  • Marine-specific products only
  • Careful around hardware & electronics
  • Sail and power, any size

Seasonal Care

Keep Her Bright All Season Long

The bay is hard on a boat. Salt etches, UV chalks, and waterline grime sets fast. Our seasonal wash programs keep your vessel ahead of all of it — recurring dockside washes, ceramic top-ups, and a watchful eye on the brightwork. You spend your time on the water; we keep her looking like the day you fell for her.

  • Recurring dockside washes
  • Ceramic coating top-ups
  • Brightwork kept ahead of the sun
  • One less thing to manage

Questions

Working With Saltline Marine

Do you detail at our slip, or do we haul out?

We work dockside at your slip across San Diego Bay — Shelter Island, Harbor Island, Point Loma, and beyond. No haul-out needed, so your vessel never loses water time.

What size and type of boats do you handle?

Everything from weekend sailboats to 60-foot motor yachts, sail and power. Our methods and products scale to the vessel and its finishes.

Can you fix oxidized, chalky gelcoat?

Yes — gelcoat oxidation removal is one of our core services. We compound and polish faded gelcoat back to a deep, showroom-style shine, then protect it.

Is ceramic coating worth it on a boat?

On the bay, absolutely. Marine ceramic coating resists salt, UV, and water spotting, makes wash-downs easier, and holds the shine far longer than wax.

Do you offer recurring maintenance?

We do — seasonal wash programs keep salt and grime from ever setting in, with recurring dockside washes and ceramic top-ups on a schedule that suits you.
