Who We Are

LA's Paint Protection Specialists

In a city built on cars, freeways full of gravel trucks and construction debris turn beautiful paint into a minefield of rock chips and scratches. A single stone strike on a new hood can mean a thousand-dollar repaint — and it only takes one drive. Paint protection film is the answer, but film is only as good as the hands that install it, and a bad install shows every edge, bubble, and speck of trapped dust.

For nine years Clearline has been Los Angeles's paint protection specialists, and film is all we do. We've protected over four thousand cars — daily drivers, trucks, EVs, and exotics — with precision-cut, self-healing film installed to a standard you have to see up close to believe. We work in a filtered clean-room bay because dust is film's enemy, cut patterns tailored to your exact model, and wrap every edge so the protection is invisible. Our installers are manufacturer-certified and genuinely obsessive about perfect coverage. Whether you want just the high-impact front end, a full-body shield, a matte transformation, or film topped with ceramic, we'll tailor it to your car and how you drive — and back it with a 10-year warranty. Protect the paint before the road ruins it.

Paint Protection Film FAQ

What's the difference between PPF and ceramic coating?

They solve different problems and work great together. Paint protection film (PPF, or 'clear bra') is a thick, self-healing urethane film that physically absorbs impacts — rock chips, scratches, and road rash that would otherwise damage your paint. Ceramic coating is a thin liquid layer that adds gloss, slickness, and easier washing, but it won't stop a rock chip. PPF is your armor; ceramic is your shine and easy maintenance. Many clients do both — film on the high-impact areas or full body, topped with ceramic — for complete protection and a flawless, low-maintenance finish.

Is the film really invisible?

When it's installed right, yes — nearly. Quality film is optically clear, and the key is the install: we wrap the film edges around panels instead of leaving them on the surface, work in a filtered clean-room bay so no dust is trapped underneath, and cut patterns precisely to your model. The result is protection you have to look closely, at the right angle, to even notice. A poor install is what makes PPF visible — lifted edges, dust specks, and orange peel. Ours is edge-wrapped, dust-free, and finished to disappear into your paint.

How long does PPF last?

Premium self-healing film like we install is warrantied for 10 years against yellowing, cracking, and lifting, and with proper care it genuinely lasts that long or more. The self-healing top coat means light swirls and marring vanish with heat — a warm day or hot water — so the film keeps looking fresh rather than accumulating fine scratches. We'll walk you through simple care (which is easier than caring for bare paint), and because the film is protecting the paint underneath, your car's actual finish stays flawless the entire time it's on.

Should I get full-body or just the front?

It depends on the car and how you drive. A front-end package — bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors — covers the highest-impact zones where the vast majority of rock chips happen, and it's the most popular, best-value option for daily drivers. Full-body coverage makes sense for exotics, collectible cars, track cars, or anyone who wants zero chips anywhere and maximum resale protection. We'll look at your specific car and driving, and recommend honestly — including partial and high-impact-zone options — rather than pushing the biggest package. The goal is the right protection for you, not the biggest invoice.

Can you install film on a new car?

Absolutely, and it's the ideal time — protecting factory-fresh paint before the road can chip it. We'll fully decontaminate and, if needed, do light paint correction first so the film goes over flawless paint rather than sealing in any defects. New cars sometimes have minor transport marks or dealer-install swirls, and we address those in prep. Getting PPF on a new vehicle means the paint underneath stays in showroom condition for years, which protects both your enjoyment and your resale value. Bring it in early and drive it worry-free.

How do I get started?

Call (213) 555-0192 or book a consult through the form, and we'll talk about your car, how you drive, and the coverage that fits — front-end, full-body, matte, or PPF-plus-ceramic — with a clear quote. We'll show you our work and film samples, explain care and the 10-year warranty, and schedule your install in our clean-room bay. When it's done, you'll have paint that's protected against the road and looks completely untouched. Protecting your paint before LA's freeways get to it is the best thing you can do for your car.
