The Runner Older Than Nevada
Our Jones Street townhouse is 1854, and the stair runner is older than the state of Nevada. Will equipment damage my old floors?
No — because it never touches them. Our low-moisture systems are carried in by hand, doorways get corner guards, and floors are protected along every path. No truck hoses through the parlor, ever.
Can you clean stair runners without removing them?
Yes — in-place runner cleaning over original rods and brackets is a Gaslight specialty. Removal and re-fitting old runners risks more damage than careful in-place work; we only lift them when the piece truly requires it.
