Care Measured in Decades, Not Appointments

For eighteen years, Castellane has been the quiet name Naples' house managers, designers, and estate attorneys keep in their first page of contacts. We clean and preserve the floors that anchor serious rooms — hand-knotted wool, silk, antique dyes, fine broadloom — using methods chosen fiber by fiber and documented piece by piece. The work is unhurried, the crews are permanent staff, and the results are why our clients rarely need to look elsewhere again.

  • Permanent, uniformed staff — never day labor
  • Every piece photographed and condition-noted
  • Methods matched to fiber, dye, and age
  • Fully insured for pieces of consequence
The Castellane Standard

Four Disciplines We Never Compromise

Identify Before Touching

Fiber, dye, foundation, and age assessed — and tested — before any method is chosen. Silk is not wool; 1920 is not 2020.

The Gentlest Effective Method

From hand-washing to controlled extraction, we use the least aggressive process that achieves a flawless result.

Document Everything

Condition reports, dye-stability notes, and photography accompany every piece — a provenance file for your floors.

Discretion Throughout

Scheduled through your house manager, badged staff, quiet equipment, and no mention of our clients — ever.

Where Other Cleaners Decline, We Begin

Silk Herizes. Century-old Sarouks with vegetable dyes. Viscose that water-spots if you look at it wrong. These are the pieces that make ordinary carpet cleaners politely suggest someone else — and they are precisely our work. Our studio practices hand-washing, controlled drying, and dye stabilization refined over thousands of fine pieces, and our principal personally reviews every rug of consequence before and after treatment.

  • Hand-washing in our climate-controlled studio
  • Dye-stability testing on every antique piece
  • Fringe, selvedge & foundation repairs arranged
  • Principal-reviewed before return

Questions

Asked in the Finest Rooms

Can antique rugs truly be cleaned safely?

Yes — with the right restraint. Every antique piece is dye-tested first, washed by hand in our studio with controlled water temperature and pH, and dried flat under managed airflow. Where a piece is too fragile to wash, we say so and recommend conservation instead.

Do you work through house managers and designers?

Constantly — most of our engagements are scheduled by house managers, estate staff, or interior designers. We coordinate access, keys, and timing through whomever runs your household, and bill however your office prefers.

What happens if a piece needs repair, not just cleaning?

We stabilize and document the issue, then arrange fringe, selvedge, or foundation work with the master weavers we've vetted over eighteen years. One point of contact; museum-grade results.

Are you insured for high-value pieces?

Fully — our coverage is written specifically for fine and antique textiles, and we provide documentation your insurer and appraiser will accept before any piece leaves your home.

How does the seasonal estate program work?

We build a care calendar around your residence's rhythm — arrival cleans before the season, deep care after, humidity checks for stored pieces. Your house manager approves the schedule once; we handle the rest.

Which communities do you serve?

Naples and its finest neighborhoods — Port Royal, Old Naples, Aqualane Shores, Pelican Bay, Park Shore, Grey Oaks, Mediterra — plus Bonita Springs and select engagements to Palm Beach by arrangement.
