Move In Fresh — Post-Construction Carpet Cleaning in Nashville
Construction dust sinks into carpet pile where regular final cleans never reach. Punchlist extracts it — and lifts the paint drips and adhesive spots too — so every handover walks like a finished home.

Drywall Dust Doesn't Vacuum Out
Sanded drywall compound is finer than flour. It hangs in the air for days after the trades leave, settles into brand-new carpet, and works its way below the pile surface where shop vacs and rental machines simply can't reach. Then the buyers move in, the HVAC kicks on, and the 'new' carpet exhales gray haze for months. Punchlist exists for exactly this: high-airflow truck-mounted extraction that pulls construction dust out of the backing, not just off the top.
- ✓Silica-fine dust settles below the pile surface
- ✓Shop vacs and rentals only skim the top
- ✓Truck-mounted airflow extracts from the backing
- ✓One pass, and the carpet stops exhaling gray

Fourteen Builders Trust Us With Their Closings
A carpet clean sounds like a small line item until it slips — then it's a delayed walk, a rescheduled closing, and a buyer's first impression ruined by gray traffic lanes. Punchlist runs standing programs for fourteen Middle Tennessee builders because we treat the schedule like the product: your super texts a lot number when flooring signs off, we're in within 24 hours, and the house walks clean. Per-lot flat pricing means your estimators can book the cost before the slab is poured.
- ✓Text-a-lot-number scheduling, nothing formal
- ✓24-hour standard from flooring sign-off
- ✓Per-lot flat rates estimators can plan on
- ✓Photo documentation for every handover
Supers, Sales Managers & Homeowners
We close 60-70 homes a year in Franklin and the carpet final-clean used to be my least reliable line item. Punchlist works straight off our closing calendar — when flooring says done, they're in the next morning, and I've never once walked a buyer into a dusty house. They understand that a slipped clean slips a closing.
Gut-renovated our 1948 East Nashville bungalow and the 'construction clean' crew left the new carpet looking gray. Punchlist explained it in one sentence — drywall dust sinks below where vacuums reach — then triple-extracted every room. White carpet came back white. Should've called them first.
Painter's tarp failed in our spec home two days before the model opening. Latex paint, brand-new carpet, panic. Punchlist had the spots out the same afternoon without a trace — and now they keep all three of our model homes on monthly upkeep. Cheap insurance for houses that sell houses.

Asked From Job Sites & Reno Projects
Why isn't the builder's regular final clean enough?
Construction cleans handle surfaces — counters, glass, floors you can mop. Carpet is different: drywall dust migrates below the pile surface where upright vacuums can't pull it back out. Only high-airflow extraction reaches the backing, which is why 'cleaned' new carpet often hazes gray within weeks of move-in.
How fast can you turn a lot?
24 hours from flooring sign-off is the program standard, and same-day happens weekly. A typical production home takes one crew half a day, dry by late afternoon.
Can you get paint out of new carpet?
Usually, yes — fresh latex almost always, dried latex most of the time, oil-based depends on the fiber. We test a hidden spot first and tell you the odds honestly before working. The earlier you call, the better the result.
Do you work with homeowners, or just builders?
Both. About half our work is builder programs; the other half is homeowners finishing renovations who want the dust actually gone. Same crews, same equipment, same 24-hour scheduling.
What does per-lot pricing look like?
Flat rates by floor plan, set once for your whole community — so a 2,400 sq ft plan costs the same on lot 14 as lot 40. Estimators love it, and there are no surprises when a closing moves up.
Which areas do you cover?
Metro Nashville and the growth ring: East Nashville, The Nations, Germantown, Franklin, Brentwood, Mt. Juliet, Hendersonville, and Murfreesboro. Building further out? Programs travel — ask.
