Taco Catering in Phoenix
Live taco bars cooked at your event — al pastor carving off the trompo, tortillas pressed to order, and seven salsas made that morning. Backyards, weddings, offices, quinces.
Pick Your Party
Every setup includes the taquero, the griddle, and salsas that start conversations.

From a Roosevelt Row Cart to 1,500 Parties
Cactus & Comal started as a weekend taco cart outside First Friday art walks. The line got long enough that people started asking us to bring the cart to them — so we did, and never stopped.
Seven years later we run four crews and a commissary kitchen, but every event still works like the cart: tortillas pressed by hand, meats marinated overnight, salsas made the morning of, and a taquero who genuinely loves the job.
- ✓Tortillas pressed to order, always
- ✓Meats marinated 24 hours
- ✓Seven salsas made every morning
- ✓Crews that bring the party energy
Straight Off the Comal
Real events, real tacos, minimal chill.

The Taco Bar Math
Four reasons a live taco bar beats trays of anything else.
Cooked in Front of Everyone
The griddle is the entertainment. Guests watch their taco happen — nothing sits in a chafing dish.
Everyone Wins the Menu
Carnivores, vegans, gluten-free, kids — everyone builds exactly the taco they want.
Unlimited Means Unlimited
One per-person price, tacos until the crowd surrenders. Nobody counts.
Zero Cleanup for You
We bring everything, serve everything, and leave your yard cleaner than we found it.
Party in Four Steps
Book in five minutes; taste in four minutes.

We Fire the Comal
Crew arrives 90 minutes early, sets the bar, and starts the marinade show.
Tacos Till They Tap Out
Fresh tortillas, carved al pastor, and a line that never stops moving.
Hosts Who Chose Tacos
The trompo showed up, the smell hit the backyard, and my party instantly got 40% better. They fed sixty people in under an hour and the al pastor was genuinely the best in Phoenix.
We did a taco bar instead of a plated wedding dinner and our guests still thank us. The late-night quesadilla round at 10 PM? Legendary decision.
Taco Tuesday for 200 employees, monthly. Setup is fast, the line moves, and the salsa verde has its own Slack channel.
Your Party Deserves a Trompo
Spring and fall Saturdays book 3-4 weeks out. Send your date and headcount — we'll quote it today.
Everything Hosts Ask
How much does taco catering cost?
Taco bars run $16-24 per person with unlimited tacos, rice, beans, and the salsa bar. The live al pastor trompo adds $3 per person and infinite style points. Delivery-only drop-offs start at $12 per person.
What's the minimum party size?
Twenty guests for a live taco bar; ten for drop-off trays. Our largest single event fed 800 at a quinceañera — the trompo never stopped.
Do you really cook on site?
Always. The griddle, the trompo, and hand-pressed tortillas come to you. We need a 10x10 space, and we bring our own power if you don't have an outlet.
What about vegetarians and vegans?
The rajas con crema and Baja mushroom tacos aren't compromises — they have their own fans. Vegan and gluten-free guests build full plates without asking for exceptions.
How spicy are the salsas?
The flight runs mild roja to a habanero-de-árbol situation we make people point at before serving. Everything is labeled with a pepper count, and the guac is always safe ground.
Do you do weddings?
Some of our favorite events. Taco bars for cocktail hour or dinner, late-night quesadilla rounds, and packages that coordinate with your planner and venue.
