From First Toast to Last Dance — Wedding Catering in Napa, CA
Chef-led menus, seamless service, and a team that has run 300+ weddings at the valley's vineyards, estates, and barns. You host the day; we handle every plate.

Cooking for the Best Day of Someone's Life Is a Privilege
Whitfield & Vine began fourteen years ago with a single vineyard wedding and a borrowed field kitchen. Today we cater across Napa Valley, but the approach has not changed: seasonal menus built around the couple, cooked close to service, and delivered by a team that treats your reception like the only event on the calendar.
We know the valley's venues — their kitchens, their quirks, their sunset angles — and we plan around all of it. Your planner gets a partner who answers fast. You get dinner your guests talk about for years.

Feast on the Day
Our team arrives early, runs service invisibly, and leaves the venue spotless while you dance.

Menus That Taste Like Napa Valley
Our menus follow the valley's calendar — spring lamb and fava beans, summer stone fruit and tomatoes, autumn harvest dinners that nod to crush season. Most of what we serve is grown or raised within an hour of your venue.
We write every menu with wine in mind, because here, dinner and the pour are the same conversation. Bring your favorite bottles or let us pair courses with the vineyards around you.
- ✓Sourced from valley farms and ranches
- ✓Menus written around the season
- ✓Courses designed to pair with local wine
- ✓Vegetarian and vegan menus, not afterthoughts
How the Evening Unfolds
A wedding dinner is choreography. Here is ours, from arrival to send-off.
3:00 PM — We Arrive
The kitchen builds out, tables are set to the plan, and the bar is stocked before your first guest arrives.
5:30 PM — Cocktail Hour
Passed bites and poured wine follow your guests from ceremony to golden-hour photos.
7:00 PM — Dinner Service
Courses land together, alternates arrive quietly, and toasts happen exactly on schedule.
10:00 PM — Cake & Late Night
Cake is cut and served, late-night bites appear on the dance floor, and we break down without a trace.
The Reviews We Cook For
Six months later our guests still bring up the food. Whitfield & Vine ran a plated dinner for 160 people at a vineyard with no built kitchen, and every course landed hot, beautiful, and on time. They were calm when it mattered and invisible when they should be.
The tasting sold us instantly. They built a menu around my grandmother's recipes and made them look like they belonged in a magazine.
Our planner said they were the easiest caterer she has worked with in ten years. That tells you everything.

May Through October Books 12-18 Months Out
If you have a date and a venue, now is the moment to check availability. Tastings are complimentary once your date is held.
Wedding Catering, Answered
How far in advance should we book?
For May through October Saturdays, 12 to 18 months ahead is typical. Off-season and weekday weddings can often be arranged within 3 to 6 months. If your date is closer than that, ask anyway — cancellations happen.
Do you cater at venues without kitchens?
Constantly. We bring a full field kitchen — ovens, refrigeration, prep, and power plans — to barns, vineyards, and private properties. Venue walk-throughs are part of our planning process.
What does wedding catering cost per person?
Most of our weddings land between $145 and $260 per guest depending on service style, menu, staffing, and bar. After your inquiry we send sample menus with real numbers so you can budget before committing to a tasting.
Can you handle dietary restrictions?
Yes — vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, halal, kosher-style, and allergy-specific plates are planned during menu design and tracked to the seat, so alternates arrive without anyone having to ask.
Do you provide bar service?
Yes. Our licensed bar team can run full bar, beer and wine, or signature-cocktail service, and we're glad to pour bottles you bring from your favorite local wineries.
Is the tasting really complimentary?
Once your date is held with a deposit, yes — a private tasting for up to four guests is included, and menu revisions after it are unlimited within your package.
