Fractional HR Consultant in Sacramento, CA
A senior HR manager for a few days a month — steady with your people, careful with California's rules, and a fraction of the cost of a full-time hire.

An HR Department, Sized To Fit
Most growing businesses don't need a full-time HR director yet. They need someone experienced who knows their people, keeps the paperwork right and picks up the phone when something goes wrong.
That's what we do. Our HR managers have each spent more than a decade running HR inside Sacramento-area companies — healthcare, construction, food, nonprofits and tech. Reliable, senior help, on a schedule that fits your size.

California Rules, Kept Current
California asks more of employers than most states — on breaks, leave, pay records and training. We keep your policies, postings and paperwork in step with the rules, and we tell you in plain English when something changes.
We're HR professionals, not attorneys. When a situation needs legal advice, we work alongside your employment lawyer, or help you find one.
- ✓Required postings and notices kept current
- ✓Pay, break and leave practices reviewed
- ✓Training records and reminders tracked
Questions About Fractional HR
What is fractional HR?
An experienced HR manager who works in your business part time — one to four days a month — instead of a full-time hire. You get senior judgment without a senior salary.
Will it be the same person every time?
Yes. You get one named HR manager who learns your people and your history, with a colleague who knows your account if they're ever away.
Do you work on site?
Both. Most clients in Sacramento, Roseville and Elk Grove have us on site for part of each month and remote the rest. Clients elsewhere in California work with us remotely.
Are you employment lawyers?
No, and we'll always say so. We handle HR practice and policy and work alongside your employment attorney when a situation needs legal advice.
Is there a long contract?
No. Monthly plans run month to month with 30 days' notice, and projects have a fixed fee agreed before we start.
Is what we share kept confidential?
Always. We sign a confidentiality agreement before any employee information is shared, and investigation files are kept separately and securely.
