About Amberlow

Practical, Never Preachy

Amberlow is a small leadership practice in Kansas City's Crossroads. Our facilitators spent years managing teams in manufacturing, healthcare, construction and nonprofits before running workshops for a living.

We keep it practical and lively: real situations from your workplace, short exercises, honest conversation and a few habits your team can start using on Monday.

  • ✓Real situations, not theory
  • ✓Lively without being silly
  • ✓Habits that last past Monday
What makes it stick

Why Our Workshops Last

01

Built From Your Team

We talk to a few of your people first, so every exercise uses situations they recognize.

02

Practice, Not Slides

Most of the time is spent trying things out in pairs and small groups.

03

One Habit At A Time

Each session ends with one habit to practice, not a binder to file.

04

Follow-Up Built In

A check-in a month later to see what stuck and what needs another look.

Planning an offsite?

Let's Plan Your Next Workshop

A free 30-minute call about your team, your goals and the format that fits.

How it works

From First Call To Workshop

01

Planning Call

Thirty minutes on your team, what's getting in the way and what good looks like.

02

Listen First

Short conversations with a few team members so the session fits.

03

The Workshop

Hands-on, on site or at a local venue, half or full day.

04

Follow-Up

A check-in a month later and a short summary for the leader.

Team offsites

Offsites With Real Decisions

An offsite should leave your team clearer and closer, not just tired. We plan the day with you, run it so everyone can take part, and write up the decisions within two business days.

We'll suggest a local venue if you want one, or run it at your place.

  • ✓Agenda planned with the leader
  • ✓Facilitated so leaders can join in
  • ✓Written decisions within two days

What Clients Say

★★★★★
Our supervisors were promoted because they were great at the work, not because anyone taught them to lead. Four sessions later they're running better one-on-ones and actually giving feedback.
Tanya BrooksPlant Manager · Food processing company
★★★★★
The offsite was the first one where we left with decisions instead of a whiteboard photo. Practical, a lot of fun, and the follow-up kept it alive.
Greg AlbrechtPresident · Commercial construction firm
★★★★★
Real exercises, real conversations, no trust falls. Our team still uses the meeting format from the workshop every Monday.

Common Questions

How many people can join?

Most workshops work best with 8 to 25 people. For larger groups we add a second facilitator or split the day.

Do you run workshops at our office?

Yes, or at a local venue. We work across the Kansas City metro on both sides of the state line, and travel for longer programs.

Is this team building?

Not the trust-fall kind. Our sessions are practical and lively, built around real situations from your workplace.

Who is coaching for?

Owners, senior leaders and newly promoted managers who want a thinking partner as they grow into the role.

Is coaching confidential?

Yes. What's said in coaching stays between the leader and the coach unless they choose to share it.

What's included in the price?

Planning, team conversations beforehand, the session itself, materials and a follow-up check-in. Venue and travel outside the metro are extra.
