A Studio Where Every Kid Gets to Shine
Plumhop opened in Sugar House in 2020, started by two moms and former dance teachers who were tired of studios that only cared about trophies. We wanted a place where a shy six-year-old and a confident twelve-year-old got the same attention, where recitals were fun instead of stressful, and where parents could dance too.
Six years later, that's still the whole idea. Great teaching, reasonable prices, a relaxed spring show — and a lobby full of families who know each other by name.

Stop Waiting in the Lobby — Dance Too
On Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, our parent class runs at the exact same time as the kids' classes. Drop them off, walk ten steps, and spend forty-five minutes laughing through a beginner dance workout with other parents.

Questions Parents Ask
How much are classes?
Kids' classes are $64 a month for one class a week, $118 for two. Siblings save 10%, and parent classes are $39 a month.
Is there a recital?
Yes — a relaxed spring show at a local school auditorium, about 90 minutes long. Costumes are under $40 and dancers keep them.
Do you have competition teams?
No, on purpose. We're a recreational studio, so every dancer gets the same attention and stage time.
Can siblings take class at the same time?
Yes. Most afternoons have classes for different ages starting together, so you only make one trip.
What if my child is shy?
Plenty of our dancers start shy. Teachers let them watch for a few minutes and join when they're ready.
Can we cancel?
Anytime with 30 days' notice. No annual contracts.
