Seoulward started in 2021 when three friends from a Koreatown cover crew got tired of rehearsing in parking garages. They rented a studio with a wall of mirrors, bought a good speaker, and started teaching the choreos they loved to anyone who showed up.
Five years later it's the friendliest K-pop studio in LA — full-song classes every day, a cover crew that films every month, and a community that cheers for every dancer, from nervous first-timers to competition-ready crews.

From Bedroom to Cover Crew
I'd been learning choreos from YouTube in my bedroom for two years. My first class here I learned more about clean formations and facial expression in ninety minutes than in all that time. Now I'm in the cover crew.
My daughter is thirteen and obsessed. The teen classes are high energy but so well run, and the teachers are careful about age-appropriate choreography. She comes home happy every single time.
Total beginner, thirty-two, zero rhythm. The beginner class breaks every move into eight counts and they film the last run so you can practice at home. Two months in and I finished my first full routine.
New to K-Pop Dance?
I've only learned from videos. Which class?
Start with K-Pop Beginner. If it feels easy, move up to K-Pop Choreography the next week.
What's the minimum age?
Classes are for ages 13 and up. Teen K-Pop is just for 13 to 17; open classes mix teens and adults.
Which songs do you teach?
A mix of current releases and fan favorites from girl groups and boy groups. The week's songs are posted every Sunday.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes and clean indoor sneakers. No outdoor shoes on the floor.
Do I have to be filmed?
No. The filmed run is optional and videos are only shared with your class.
How do I join the cover crew?
Crew auditions happen every three months. Take a few open classes first — teachers will let you know when auditions open.
