Tresillo opened in 2017 above a ventanita on Calle Ocho with a simple mission: teach people to dance socially — not just memorize a routine, but lead, follow and improvise with anyone in any club in Miami.
That's why every class rotates partners, every level has clear goals, and every week ends at the Noche Social, where you put it all into practice with a live DJ and a room full of people who remember their first night too.

From First Step to Anyone, Anywhere
Level 1 — Basics & Timing
Hear the beat, find the count, dance the basic step and your first turns with any partner.
Level 2 — Turn Patterns
Cross-body leads, inside and outside turns, and linking them together without stopping.
Level 3 — Musicality
Shines, breaks and playing with the music — the point where social dancing gets fun.
Level 4 — Advanced Social
Complex patterns, spins and styling, danced cleanly with partners you have never met.

Before You Dance
Do I have to bring a partner?
No. All group classes rotate partners, and most of our students come on their own.
Should I start with salsa or bachata?
Bachata is quicker to feel comfortable with; salsa On1 is what most Miami clubs dance. Many students take both on the same night.
What's the difference between On1 and On2?
The timing you break on. On1 is the LA style and the easiest place to start; On2 is the smoother New York style, best learned after On1 Level 2.
What shoes should I wear?
Shoes with a smooth sole that let you turn — leather-soled shoes or suede dance sneakers. Avoid grippy rubber soles.
Do you teach wedding or quinceañera dances?
Yes, through private lessons. Tell us your date and song and we'll plan the number of lessons you need.
Is the Friday social for beginners too?
Absolutely. It starts with a beginner lesson, and our instructors and regulars dance with newcomers all night.
