What Parents Ask Us
We don't speak Spanish at home — will my child be lost?
Not at all — most of our families speak only English at home. Teachers use gestures, routines, songs, and pictures so children understand from day one. Within weeks, kids follow the whole day; within months, they answer back.
Will starting preschool in Spanish delay my child's English?
No — this is the most-studied question in immersion education, and the answer is reassuring. English development stays on track (it's the community language — it takes care of itself), and we track kindergarten readiness in English twice a year so you're never guessing.
How quickly do children start speaking Spanish?
Most children understand everyday Spanish within two to three months, say single words and phrases by six months, and speak in sentences around the one-year mark. Every child's pace is different, and all of them get there.
What are your ratios and licensing?
We're licensed by Texas HHSC (Operation #1526804) and keep ratios tighter than the state requires: 1:6 for toddlers, 1:8 for preschool, 1:10 for Pre-K. All staff are background-checked and CPR/first-aid certified.
Do the teachers speak English too?
Yes — every teacher is fully bilingual. Your child's learning day happens in Spanish, but safety conversations, parent chats, and comforting a sad kiddo happen in whichever language works best.
What about lunch and snacks?
We serve a family-style lunch and two snacks daily — menus go home in English and Spanish, and we manage allergy plans carefully. Family-style meals are also where the best Spanish gets learned.
How does enrollment work, and what does it cost?
Start with a tour — you'll leave with our tuition packet and current availability. Toddler spots usually have a short waitlist, so if your little one is under two, we recommend touring a season early.
