Where Little Learners Bloom — Daycare & Preschool in Madison, WI
For fifteen years, Madison families have trusted Maplewick with their mornings — warm teachers who stay, small classes with real ratios, and a play-rich curriculum that has kids kindergarten-ready and happy about it.

The Right Room for Every Age
Six programs, one philosophy: children learn best when they feel safe, known, and delighted.

Teachers Who Stay. Children Who Thrive.
The best predictor of a great daycare isn't the toys or the paint colors — it's whether the same warm faces greet your child every morning, year after year. At Maplewick, 92% of our teachers return each fall, and our lead teachers hold early-childhood degrees.
That stability shows up everywhere: infants who settle quickly, toddlers who trust, and preschoolers who walk into kindergarten confident — because the adults who taught them truly knew them.
- ✓92% teacher return rate, year over year
- ✓Degreed lead teachers in every classroom
- ✓1:4 infant ratio — better than WI requires
- ✓Daily photo updates in our parent app

Why Parents Stay for Years
Both our kids started at Maplewick at eight weeks old. The infant teachers sent photos and updates all day, and by pre-K our daughter was reading simple books. Five years, two kids, zero regrets — this place is family.
We toured seven daycares in Madison. Maplewick was the only one where the director knew every single child's name as we walked the halls. That told us everything.
As first-time parents we had a hundred questions. The teachers never made us feel silly — daily reports, honest conversations at pickup, and a little person who runs to the door every morning because she loves it there.

Play That Quietly Becomes School
Our pre-K graduates walk into Madison's kindergartens knowing their letters and numbers — but more importantly, knowing how to make a friend, ask for help, and stick with something hard.
That's not an accident. Our curriculum builds early literacy and math into play children choose, and our teachers track each child's growth so nothing slips. When school conferences come around, kindergarten teachers can tell which kids came from Maplewick.
- ✓Early literacy & math woven into play
- ✓Individual growth tracking, shared with you
- ✓Kindergarten-transition conferences each spring

Everything Parents Ask on Tours
What are your ratios and group sizes?
Infants 1:4 (max group 8), toddlers 1:5, preschool 1:8, pre-K 1:10 — all at or better than Wisconsin DCF requirements, and we staff for absences so ratios hold on real days, not just paper.
How do you handle security and pickup?
Coded entry doors, camera-monitored entrances, and photo-verified pickup — only adults you've authorized, with ID checked, can collect your child. Every time, no exceptions.
Do you provide meals?
Yes — breakfast, lunch, and two snacks daily, included in tuition. Menus rotate weekly, and we're experienced with allergies and dietary needs (nut-free building).
What if my child is still napping / not potty trained?
Completely fine. Nap schedules follow your child's rhythm in the infant and toddler rooms, and we partner with you on potty training when your child shows readiness — never pressure.
How will I know how my child's day went?
Our parent app sends photos, meals, naps, and notes in real time, plus a daily summary. Teachers are at the door at pickup for the human version.
Is there a waitlist?
Infant spots usually book 3-6 months ahead; older rooms vary by season. Tour first — we'll give you honest availability for your dates and hold a spot with no pressure.
