What Parents Ask About STEM Preschool
Isn't 'STEM for toddlers' just a marketing buzzword?
It can be — which is why we're specific. STEM here means open-ended building, real experiments, and problem-solving woven into play. No apps, no worksheets, no 'coding for babies' gimmicks. If you tour and it looks like ordinary (wonderful) preschool play with unusually good materials, we've done it right.
Is this all academics, or is it still preschool?
Fully preschool — naps, snacks, outside time, dramatic play, hugs, and big feelings. The STEM is the lens, not a replacement for childhood. Kids leave curious AND kind, ready for kindergarten socially and cognitively.
Do you really have zero screens?
Zero, for the children. 'Screen-free coding' means robots, buttons, and cause-and-effect toys kids manipulate with their hands. Research is clear that under-fives learn concepts best through physical, three-dimensional play — so that's what we give them.
What are your ratios and licensing?
Licensed by Texas HHSC (Operation #1671209), with a 1:6 studio group ratio — tighter than the state minimum — so every child gets hands-on time and real attention. All staff are background-checked and CPR/first-aid certified.
My child isn't a 'STEM kid' — will they fit in?
There's no such thing as a not-STEM kid at this age — every three-year-old is a natural scientist (ever watched one test gravity with a cup of milk?). We meet children where their curiosity already is: some love building, some love mixing, some love sorting. All of it is STEM.
What does enrollment cost?
Tuition depends on your program and days — the current rate sheet comes with your tour, along with any sibling discounts and availability. Toddler and Pre-K spots move fastest, so touring a season ahead is wise.
