The Same Pediatrician, Visit After Visit
Pendrell Pediatrics opened in 2008 with one doctor and a promise to parents: you'll see someone who knows your child. Today we're five pediatricians and nurse practitioners, and every family still has a primary doctor who leads their care.
We see only children and teens, so the exam rooms, the waiting room and the way we talk are all built for them — and for the parents asking the questions.
- ✓Board-certified pediatricians
- ✓A primary doctor for every family
- ✓A separate waiting area for sick kids

Parents On Pendrell
We've seen Dr. Pendrell since our daughter came home from the hospital. Every checkup, she remembers what we talked about last time — it never feels like starting over.
Our son spiked a fever on a Friday night and the nurse line called us back in about fifteen minutes. She told us exactly what to watch for, and we had a Saturday morning sick visit booked before bed.
The waiting room has a separate side for sick kids, which I didn't know I needed until I had a newborn in flu season. Small thing, big difference.
Insurance & What To Bring
We accept most employer and marketplace plans, plus South Dakota Medicaid and CHIP. Call and we'll check yours.
Your insurance card
Checkups and vaccines are usually covered in full as preventive care — we'll confirm before you come.
Vaccine records
If you're new to us, bring the record from your last doctor or the hospital.
School or sports forms
Bring them to the physical and we'll fill them in before you leave.
A list of questions
Write them down as they come up — there's always time to go through them.

Parents Ask Us
Are you taking new patients?
Yes — newborns, babies and kids of every age, and siblings together. Call or send the form and we'll set up a first visit.
Can we meet you before the baby is born?
Yes. We offer a meet-and-greet for expecting parents to see the office and ask questions. Let us know your due date.
How fast can my child be seen when they're sick?
Call when we open — we hold time every weekday and on Saturday mornings for sick visits, and most kids are seen the same day.
What if it's after hours?
Call our main number and choose the nurse line. A nurse calls back, usually within 30 minutes. In an emergency, call 911.
Do you take my insurance?
We accept most plans, including South Dakota Medicaid and CHIP. Send your plan details with the form, or call, and we'll check before your visit.
Can I message the doctor?
Yes, through the patient portal you set up at your first visit. Please don't send medical details through this website's form.
