Our Languages

Fear Has an Accent. So Does Confidence.

Learning to drive is hard enough without translating every instruction in your head first. Our instructors teach in nine languages because a student who understands instantly learns twice as fast — and because 'watch that merge' lands differently when it's said the way your family says things. Every Mosaic instructor came to Houston from somewhere; that's not a coincidence, it's the curriculum.

  • Native-speaker instructors, not phone translators
  • Road vocabulary taught in both your language and English

How It Works

From Hello to Highway

Whatever your starting point, the path is the same four friendly steps.

01
1

Say Hello, Any Language

Call, text, or WhatsApp in whatever language is easiest. We'll match you with an instructor who speaks it.

02
2

Map Your Path

New license or transfer? Knowledge test in which language? We chart the exact steps and book what's bookable.

03
3

Learn at Your Pace

Private lessons in dual-control cars, from your home or work — explained clearly, repeated patiently, celebrated loudly.

04
4

Pass and Drive

Test-day rehearsal, our car for the exam, and someone in the parking lot cheering in your language when you pass.

Who We Serve

Three Journeys, One School

The Experienced Newcomer

Drove for twenty years back home — just needs the Texas rules, the license transfer, and one confidence lap on a freeway.

The First-Time Driver

Never needed a car until Houston. Learns everything from zero, gently, in the language where nerves speak quietest.

The Long-Time Passenger

Years in America, always in the passenger seat. Ready for independence — school runs, groceries, a job across town.

License Transfer

Twenty Years of Driving Shouldn't Start Over.

If you drove in Mexico, Vietnam, Nigeria, India, or almost anywhere else, you already know how to drive — you just need Texas to agree. We handle the translation of it all: which documents count, which tests you actually need, and the handful of American habits that differ from home. Most experienced drivers are fully licensed within a month.

  • Document checklist for your specific country
  • Only the lessons you genuinely need

The Mosaic Way

Why It Works

01

Language First, Always

Instructions land instantly in your first language, so lesson time goes to driving — not decoding. English road vocabulary comes along naturally, phrase by phrase.

02

Instructors Who've Been New

Every Mosaic instructor immigrated here and learned these exact roads as an adult. The empathy isn't trained; it's remembered.

03

The Paperwork Is Part of the Job

DPS appointments, document checklists, test bookings — we navigate the system alongside you, because the license is the goal, not just the lessons.

Our Students

Licenses, in Every Language

I drove taxis in Lagos for years, but American left turns and four-way stops confused me completely. My instructor explained everything in Yoruba-accented English I understood perfectly, showed me the differences, and I passed the Texas test in three weeks.

Mi mamá tenía 30 años sin manejar y mucho miedo del inglés en el examen. Su instructora le enseñó en español, la ayudó con el examen de conocimiento en español, y ahora maneja al trabajo todos los días. Gracias, Mosaic.

Our whole family learned together — my husband transferred his license, I learned from zero, and our daughter did the teen program. One school, one WhatsApp thread, three licenses in one year. They understood exactly what an immigrant family needs.

Questions

Asked in Nine Languages, Answered in Yours

Which languages do you actually teach in?

Spanish, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, Tagalog, Amharic, and French — plus English, of course. If yours isn't listed, ask anyway: our instructors' second and third languages cover more ground than we can print.

Can I take the Texas written test in my language?

Texas offers the knowledge test in several languages, and we'll confirm the current options for yours when you book. Where an official version doesn't exist, we prep you with bilingual materials until the English version feels manageable.

I have a license from my home country. Do I start from zero?

Almost never. Depending on your country, you may skip the knowledge test, the road test, or both. We check your specific situation, assemble the documents, and only book lessons for the gaps — usually American-specific habits like four-way stops and school zones.

What documents do I need for a Texas license?

Typically proof of identity, residency in Texas, and lawful presence — plus your foreign license if transferring. The combinations vary by situation, so we walk each student through a personal checklist before any DPS visit. No wasted trips.

Do you help with the DPS appointment itself?

Yes — we book it with you, tell you exactly what to bring, and for road tests you can use our dual-control car with your instructor there for a warm-up. The system is confusing in any language; you won't face it alone.

What do lessons cost?

In line with other licensed Houston schools, with family-package discounts and no premium for any language. Current prices come with our reply — written clearly, in your language.
