Do you design the lighting, or just install what I pick?
Both — and design is where we add the most value. We'll walk your space, learn how you want each room to feel, and design a layered plan of ambient, task, and accent lighting. If you already have fixtures you love, we'll install those beautifully too. Either way, you get a real design, not just wiring.
Can you add recessed lighting without tearing up my ceiling?
In most cases, yes. We use techniques to install recessed lights through existing ceilings with minimal patching, and we'll tell you upfront if a particular ceiling needs more work. We protect your floors and furniture and clean up completely.
Can you set up dimmers and smart lighting?
Absolutely — it's one of our favorite parts. We install dimmers, lighting scenes, timers, and app or voice-controlled smart lighting, then tune it all so it's effortless. Great lighting is as much about control as it is about the fixtures.
Do you do outdoor and landscape lighting?
Yes. Path lights, uplighting for trees and facades, patio and string lighting, and everything on clean wiring and smart timers. Outdoor lighting adds beauty, safety, and usable evening space — it's one of our most-requested services.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — Lumen Works holds a California C-10 electrical contractor license (#1042887) and carries insurance. Beautiful lighting still has to be safe, code-compliant electrical work, so licensed installation isn't optional for us.
