Birthday Parties in Tampa, FL
Book a BirthdayWhose Birthday Is It?
Every age needs a different party. Here's where most people start.
Not sure which shape fits? Tell us the age and the guest list and we'll suggest one — most people change their mind after that call, and usually for the better.

We Started With One Very Ambitious Dinosaur Party
Hooray began in 2020 when our founder, then a preschool teacher, threw a friend's son a dinosaur party that got slightly out of hand and turned into four more bookings by the end of the month.
Six years later we plan birthdays for every age — first birthdays where the real guests are grandparents, kids' parties with a theme nobody has heard of, sweet sixteens, and sixtieths that people fly in for. The through-line is that we treat a birthday as a real event with a real run of show, not as a delivery of decorations.
We are a team of four. Whoever plans your party is standing in your kitchen on the day.
- ✓Birthdays only — every age, from firsts to ninetieths
- ✓Background-checked entertainers and sitters
- ✓Themes built to order, not picked from a catalogue
- ✓Setup and cleanup included in every package
The Four Reasons People Hand It Over
You're in none of the photos
The person who plans the party spends it in the kitchen. Every parent we work with says the same thing afterwards — that they were actually at their own child's birthday for the first time.
The theme is harder than it looks
"Like the ocean" or "but make it Minecraft" is a two-week research project once you start pricing it. We build custom themes weekly, so it takes us an afternoon.
Kids' parties run on a timeline
Two hours with nothing scheduled is chaos; two hours with a run of show is a party. We build the minute-by-minute so the energy peaks at cake and lands softly at pickup.
Cleanup is the worst part
Every package includes it. You are not scraping frosting off a floor at 9pm on a Saturday.
A Few From This Year
Ages one through sixty, all around Tampa Bay.

Four Weeks, Four Steps
Most birthdays come together in about a month.
Tell us the age and the theme
Or tell us there isn't a theme yet — that's what the first call is for.
Get a plan and a price
Within three business days: a visual direction, a run of show and a fixed quote.
We book everything
Entertainer, food, cake, styling, rentals and the photographer if you want one.
Party day
We arrive early, run the two hours, and take it all away afterwards.
Not Optional Extras
Whatever the age or the size, all of this comes as standard.
A custom theme built for you
Not selected from a catalogue of six. If your child can describe it, we can build it.
A run of show
Minute by minute, so the party has a shape — activities, food, cake and a soft landing at pickup.
Background-checked entertainers
Every performer and sitter we bring into your home is checked and insured. We'll show you the paperwork without being asked.
Setup and cleanup
We arrive early to build it and stay late to take it away. Your house goes back to normal the same day.
An allergy and dietary plan
Collected with the RSVPs, communicated to the caterer, and labelled clearly on the day.
A fixed quote
The number you approve is the number you pay. No day-of extras on the invoice.

Keeping It Secret Is the Actual Job
The party is the easy half of a surprise. Keeping it quiet for six weeks is the hard half, and it is where most home-planned surprises come apart.
We route every RSVP through our own number and email, so nothing lands in a shared inbox or a family group chat. We build a decoy plan for the day — a lunch, an errand, a reason to be somewhere else — and we stage the entire setup in about ninety minutes while it plays out.
We have run forty-odd surprise parties. Two have been spoiled, both by a guest, and neither by anything that went through us.
- ✓RSVPs collected on our number, never yours
- ✓A decoy plan built for the day itself
- ✓Ninety-minute staged setup while they're out
- ✓A guest briefing so nobody posts it early
What People Say After
My daughter asked for a party 'like the ocean' and I had no idea what to do with that. Hooray turned our whole lanai into a reef — hanging jellyfish, a sand table, an entertainer in a mermaid tail. She talked about it for six months. I did not make a single decoration.
We threw a surprise 60th for my husband and the hardest part was keeping it quiet. Hooray handled every RSVP through their own number so nothing landed in his inbox, and they staged the whole setup in ninety minutes while I took him to lunch. He genuinely had no idea.
First birthdays are really parties for the adults, and Hooray understood that immediately. Comfortable seating for the grandparents, food that wasn't just cupcakes, a photographer for an hour, and a cake smash setup that took ten minutes instead of consuming the afternoon.
A sweet sixteen is a minefield and they navigated it perfectly — my daughter felt like it was her party, not her mother's, and I still knew where every teenager was all night. That balance is a real skill.

What Parents Ask Us
How far ahead should we book?
Four to six weeks is comfortable and gets you first choice of entertainers. We can turn a party around in two weeks if we have the date free, and we keep a little room for the birthdays that sneak up on people. Spring and December book out earliest.
What does a birthday party cost?
Guest count and food drive it more than decoration does. A kids' party at home for fifteen is a very different number from a sixtieth at a venue for eighty. Tell us the age, the headcount and what you'd like to spend, and we'll tell you what's realistic before anyone builds a quote.
Can you do a theme my kid invented?
That's the best kind. We build custom themes every week — the brief is usually a sentence a five-year-old said. Send us the sentence and we'll come back with a visual direction.
Do you handle food and cake?
Yes. We book the caterer and the cake, collect allergies with the RSVPs, pass them to the kitchen and label everything on the day. You can also keep your own baker — plenty of families have one they love.
Are your entertainers vetted?
Every performer and sitter is background-checked and insured, and we'll hand you the paperwork before you ask. Nobody comes into your home who hasn't worked with us before.
What about the mess?
Cleanup is in every package. We stay after the last guest leaves and take the whole thing away — decorations, rentals, rubbish. Your house is back to normal the same day.
Whose Birthday Are We Planning?
Tell us the age, the date and roughly how many people. We'll come back within three business days with a plan and a fixed quote.
