About Casa Solera

Planeamos en Español e Inglés, de Principio a Fin

Casa Solera was founded in 2013 by two San Antonio women who had each planned their own daughters' quinceañeras and were startled by how little help existed for families who wanted to work in Spanish.

Thirteen years later that is still central. Every contract, every vendor conversation and every planning meeting happens in whichever language your family is most comfortable in — usually both, often in the same sentence. Abuela should not need a translator to understand what she is agreeing to.

We have planned 470 quinceañeras and sweet sixteens across the city, we know which parishes require what, and we know which halls are worth the money and which are not.

  • Every meeting, contract and vendor call in English or Spanish
  • 470 celebrations across San Antonio since 2013
  • We coordinate directly with your parish
  • Honest about where money shows and where it does not
The Day

How a Quinceañera Actually Runs

La misa

The mass, with the padrinos, the presentation and whatever your parish requires. We confirm the requirements in writing months ahead so nothing is a surprise.

Fotos

The photography window between church and hall is the tightest part of the day and the one families most consistently underestimate. We schedule it honestly.

La entrada y el brindis

The entrance, the toast and the family moments — timed so the room is seated, quiet and paying attention rather than still queueing at the bar.

El vals y el baile sorpresa

The waltz with the court, then the surprise dance. Rehearsed three times, because a court that has not rehearsed shows on video forever.

La fiesta

The rest of the night belongs to your family. We stay to run it and to clear the hall so nobody is loading a van at 1am.

In Every Package

What Comes as Standard

From day-of coordination through full planning.

Bilingual planning throughout

Meetings, vendor calls and contracts in English, Spanish or both. Nobody in your family needs a translator to understand what they are signing.

Parish coordination

We contact your church, confirm the requirements and the timing, and get the answer in writing before you book anything else.

The court, organised

Fourteen teenagers, their outfits, their parents and three rehearsals — chased and scheduled by us rather than by you.

Honest budget guidance

We will tell you where money shows on the day and where it quietly does not. The hall is very often not the place to spend it.

A realistic photo schedule

The church-to-hall window planned against actual travel time, so you are not cutting family portraits to make the entrance.

Setup and teardown

We are there from the build to the clear. No tíos carrying centrepieces to a truck at one in the morning.

Where the Money Actually Shows

Quinceañeras have a reputation for costing more than they need to, and it is usually because families are told the expensive version is the only version.

After 470 celebrations we can tell you fairly precisely what guests remember: the food, the music, how the room felt when she walked in, and whether the vals went well. What they do not remember is the hall's rack rate, the chair covers or the third florist upgrade.

So we spend where it shows and we say so out loud. Families regularly come to us after being quoted eighteen thousand dollars and hold a better celebration for meaningfully less.

  • Food, music and the entrance — where guests actually notice
  • Halls compared honestly, including the ones nobody recommends
  • Padrino contributions tracked and applied transparently
  • A fixed quote you approve before anything is booked
Cómo Trabajamos

From First Call to the Last Dance

Most families come to us nine to twelve months ahead.

1

La consulta

Free, in whichever language suits your family. Which traditions matter, roughly how many guests, and what you would like to spend.

2

Parroquia y salón

Parish requirements confirmed in writing, halls compared honestly, and both booked before the good dates go.

3

La corte y el vals

Court organised, choreographer booked and three rehearsals scheduled around fourteen teenagers' calendars.

4

El día

We run the misa, the photos, the entrance, the vals and the party — and we clear the hall afterwards.

Nuestras Familias

What San Antonio Families Say

The court of honour was fourteen teenagers who had never rehearsed anything in their lives. Casa Solera ran three rehearsals, kept them organised, and the vals was genuinely beautiful. My daughter cried. So did I, and I had sworn I wouldn't.

We were quoted $18,000 by another planner and told that was the floor. Casa Solera built us a beautiful celebration for well under that by being honest about where the money actually shows and where it doesn't. The hall didn't need to be the expensive one.
Antonio BeltránQuinceañera · Helotes
My daughter wanted a sweet sixteen, not a quinceañera, and some of the family had feelings about that. Casa Solera designed something that honoured both — the traditions that mattered to my mother, the party my daughter actually wanted. Nobody left unhappy.

Preguntas Comunes

What Families Ask Us First

How far ahead should we book?

Nine to twelve months. Parishes and the better halls in San Antonio book out that far for spring and autumn Saturdays, and the court needs time to rehearse. If your date is sooner, call anyway — we hold some capacity.

What does a quinceañera cost?

Guest count, the hall and the food drive it far more than decoration does. Families are often quoted a number and told it's the floor — it usually isn't. Tell us your guest count and what you'd like to spend, and we'll tell you honestly what's achievable before anyone builds a quote.

Do you work with our parish?

Yes, and it's one of the first things we do. Requirements differ between parishes — the padrinos, the presentation, the music, what's allowed during the mass. We confirm all of it in writing before you book a hall around it.

Can you organise the court and the vals?

That's one of the most-requested parts. Fourteen teenagers, their outfits, their parents and three rehearsals — we chase and schedule all of it. A court that hasn't rehearsed is visible on the video for the rest of her life.

My daughter wants a sweet sixteen instead.

That comes up often, and it doesn't have to be a choice. We've designed plenty of celebrations that honour the traditions the grandparents care about while being the party the birthday girl actually wants. Usually everyone ends up happy.
