Carpet Questions
How much does carpet installation cost?
Carpet is priced per square yard or square foot, and the total depends on the carpet you choose, the pad, the number of stairs and whether there's old flooring to remove. Your written quote after the free measure lists each of those so there are no surprises on install day.
How long does it take to install carpet?
A single bedroom usually takes a couple of hours. A whole upstairs is often done in a day, and stairs add a few hours. Most jobs are installed within a week of you choosing.
Do I need to move the furniture?
No, moving furniture is included. Please empty dressers and bookcases, and take anything fragile off the floor. Beds are taken apart and put back together only if you ask.
Should I put carpet in the basement?
Often yes — carpet makes a basement warmer and quieter. We use moisture-resistant pad over concrete. In basement bathrooms and laundry rooms we'll recommend vinyl plank instead.
What happens to my old carpet?
We take it up and haul it away, along with the pad and old tack strip, as part of the price.
