Each of our groomers sees only five dogs a day, one at a time, and finishes every coat by hand. We hand-dry, we scissor rather than clip wherever the coat allows, and we'll always tell you honestly what your dog's coat can and can't do.

Bringing A Coat Back
Years of close clipping, or a bad bout of matting, can leave a coat thin, uneven or coarse. Our coat restoration plan works over three or four visits — gentle bathing, careful trimming and a home brushing routine — to let the coat grow back evenly and healthily. We'll be honest about what's possible from the first consultation.

Frequently Asked
How much does dog grooming cost in Princeton?
Full grooms in the Princeton area generally run $80–$170 depending on size, coat and finishing. Ours are $95 small, $120 medium and $150 large, with a hand-scissored finish for $35 more.
Why only five dogs a day per groomer?
Because a groomer who isn't rushing does calmer, more careful work — and your dog isn't left waiting in a kennel.
What is hand scissoring?
Shaping the coat with scissors rather than clippers. It takes longer, but gives a softer finish that grows out evenly.
What if my dog is matted?
We'll show you and quote before we start. Tight mats are clipped short and comfortable, never brushed out through pain — then we plan the grow-out with you.
How often should my dog be groomed?
Curly and long coats every four to six weeks, double coats every six to eight weeks, and short coats a bath every eight to twelve weeks.
What vaccinations do you need?
Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella for adult dogs; puppies up to date on their age-appropriate shots.
How long is an appointment?
Two to three and a half hours for most full grooms. We call as soon as your dog is ready.
