Rooms That Guests Love and Owners Can Run
A hospitality space has two jobs that usually fight each other. It has to be unforgettable — the kind of room a guest walks into and feels immediately that they’re somewhere special, that they want to stay, photograph it, and come back. And it has to work — for a staff running two hundred covers on a Saturday, for housekeeping turning forty rooms, for a bar in the weeds at midnight. Most design studios can do one or the other. Verano Studio was built to do both. For thirteen years, out of Miami’s Design District, we’ve designed restaurants, hotels, and bars where beauty and operations are the same decision, not a compromise between them. We think about the concept and the story, the light and the materials and the moment a guest steps in — and, in the same breath, about flow, acoustics, service stations, durability, cost per cover and cost per key. The result is hospitality that performs on both counts: spaces that fill the room and photograph beautifully, and that a team can actually operate, night after night, for years. That’s the whole point of hiring a hospitality specialist, and it’s all we do.

Three Things We Believe About Hospitality
For venues that guests remember and owners can run, operators across Miami trust Verano Studio.
Beauty Is an Asset
A memorable room isn’t decoration — it fills seats, lifts rate, and earns free guest photos. We design it to pay.
It Has to Operate
The most beautiful venue fails if the team can’t run it. We design flow, durability, and service in from day one.
Concept Is Everything
In a crowded market, a clear, distinct concept is survival. We build one that’s unmistakably, ownably yours.
From Concept to Opening Night
A clear, managed process — the way a hospitality project should run.
Concept & Brief
We dig into your brand, your guest, your menu or model, your site, and your numbers before we draw a thing.
Design & Concept
We develop the story, spaces, materials, lighting, and FF&E — beautiful and operational in the same plan.
Source & Build
We specify, procure, and install FF&E and coordinate the trades through construction to the finish line.
Open the Doors
We style and hand over a venue that’s ready for guests — memorable, on-brand, and built to run.

The Details Guests Feel Before They Can Name
Ask a guest why a room felt special and they usually can’t tell you — they just know they liked being there. That feeling is not an accident; it’s a hundred deliberate decisions working together below the level of conscious notice. The height and warmth of the light as the night goes on. The acoustics that let a full room feel lively instead of deafening. The banquette that’s the exact right depth to settle into. The materials that look rich and take a beating. The path from door to host to table that makes an arrival feel like an event. This is the craft of hospitality design, and it’s where thirteen years and ninety venues live — in the judgment to get all of it right at once, so the room simply feels effortless and complete. Guests can’t name why they want to stay and come back. That’s exactly the point, and it’s the difference between a space that’s merely nice and one that becomes the reason people choose you.
- ✓Light, acoustics, and comfort tuned together
- ✓Materials that read rich and take the wear
- ✓An arrival choreographed door to table
- ✓The effortless feeling guests come back for
Rooms That Perform
Verano Studio designed our restaurant in the Design District and it changed the business. The room does half the work for us — guests walk in and immediately feel they’re somewhere special, they linger, they photograph it, they come back and bring friends. And crucially the team understood how a restaurant actually runs: the flow, the acoustics, the service stations, the durability. It’s a stunning room that also works at 200 covers on a Saturday. That balance is rare and it’s why we’re building our second location with them.
We hired Verano Studio for our boutique hotel and they delivered interiors that guests rave about in every review. Beautiful, yes — but also smart about the things owners care about: housekeeping efficiency, wear, cost per key, and a concept that photographs and books. Occupancy and rate both climbed after the redesign. They think like designers and operators at once, which is exactly what a hospitality project needs and almost no one actually does.
Our cocktail bar needed a strong identity in a crowded Wynwood scene, and Verano Studio gave us one that’s completely ours. The concept, the materials, the lighting, the custom bar — every choice reinforces the story, and it reads beautifully in person and on camera. We were slammed from opening week and the space is a huge part of why. Working with a studio that gets brand, experience, and operations together was worth every dollar.

Hospitality Design Questions, Answered
Do you only design restaurants, or hotels and bars too?
All of them — hospitality across the board is our specialty. We design restaurants and bars, boutique hotels and resorts, cafés and coffee shops, lounges, and the amenity spaces around them. What connects the work isn’t the format, it’s the discipline: every one of these spaces has to be memorable for the guest and operable for the team, and that dual lens is what we bring to a dining room, a lobby, or a cocktail bar alike.
What does ‘designed to operate’ actually mean?
It means we design for the people who run the room, not just the photo. Service-station placement and back-of-house flow, acoustics that keep a full room comfortable, sightlines, durable finishes that survive hard use, seating counts that hit your covers, and cost per cover or per key that fits your model. A venue can be gorgeous and still fail if the team can’t work in it — so we build operations into the design from the first sketch, alongside the beauty.
Do you handle furniture and procurement, or just the design?
Both, and most clients want it that way. We provide full FF&E — furniture, fixtures, lighting, and equipment — specified for hospitality-grade wear, then sourced, procured, and installed. Having one studio carry the project from concept through the furniture on the floor keeps an opening coordinated, on-brand, and on schedule, and it means the beautiful design you approved is the one that actually shows up. You can also engage us for design only if you have a procurement partner you love.
How early should we bring you in on a new venue?
As early as possible — ideally before the lease is signed or at least before construction drawings. The earliest decisions (the site, the layout bones, the concept) are the highest-leverage ones, and they’re expensive to fix later. Bringing us in at concept lets us shape the space, the brand, and the operations together from the start, rather than decorating around constraints that were locked in without a hospitality eye. That said, we also do refreshes and reconcepts of existing venues all the time.
How is a hospitality project priced?
Every venue is different, so after an initial conversation about your concept, scope, and site we provide a clear proposal — typically a design fee based on scope and square footage, plus transparent tracking of FF&E and construction costs against your budget. Hospitality is an investment with a return: a room that fills seats, lifts rate, and earns guest photos pays for good design many times over. We’re candid about numbers from the first meeting so there are never surprises.
Do you work outside Miami?
Miami and South Florida are home — the Design District, Wynwood, Brickell, the Beach — and it’s where most of our work is. But hospitality clients travel, and so do we; for the right restaurant, hotel, or bar project elsewhere we’re glad to take it on. If you love our work and you’re opening something special, wherever it is, let’s talk about it.
