How The Fast Run Works
Go Big, Not Many
Ask the attendant which single machine fits everything. Splitting a load across small machines is what makes a laundromat trip long.
Express Cycle
Twenty-four minutes, high spin. Start it and go and get a coffee — there is a place two doors down.
Short Dry
Because the spin took most of the water out, a full load usually needs about twenty-five minutes rather than forty.
Fold And Leave
Twelve tables along the back wall. Or hand it to the attendant before 2pm and pick it up folded on your way home.
Time Your First Visit
Bring a normal load and time it from the door back to the door. If it takes longer than an hour we will refund the wash.

Three Ways To Get Out Faster
Come Before Eight Or After Nine
The floor is effectively empty at both ends of the day. Between five and eight in the evening you may wait for an express machine, which is the only time anyone waits here.
Don't Overfill The Drum
A crammed machine washes worse and spins badly, which puts the drying time straight back on. Fill to about three-quarters and the whole run is quicker.
Start The Dryer On High
Our dryers run hot and fast by design. Most people set them too low out of habit, then pay for a second cycle they did not need.
Timed By The People Who Use It
Twenty-four minutes is not marketing. I have timed it. Four loads washed and dried inside an hour and ten, and I was back at work before lunch ended.
The 90 lb machine took two king comforters and a dog bed in one go. Nowhere else in El Paso would even let me try that.

Questions We Get
Is the 24-minute wash actually as good as a normal cycle?
Yes. It is short because the machine fills faster, uses a heated feed and spins harder — not because it skips a stage. The wash and rinse are full length. If anything the higher spin gets more detergent out than a slow machine does.
What can go in the 90 lb machine?
Two king comforters together, area rugs, horse blankets, sleeping bags and dog bedding. Pet bedding and rugs run on their own cycle and are never mixed with clothing loads.
Do you take cards?
Every machine takes card or coin, and the change machine takes notes as well as cards. There is no surcharge either way and no account to set up.
How early is early?
Doors open at five in the morning, seven days. That is set around the plant shifts — a lot of our regulars wash before a six o'clock start. Last wash goes on at 10:15pm so everything can dry before we close at eleven.
Is there someone who can help me?
There is an attendant on the floor every hour we are open, at no charge, and the floor is bilingual on every shift. Ask them about machine sizes before you load — it is the single thing that saves people the most money and time.
What if I only have a small load?
A 20 lb express at $4.00 is fine and takes twenty-four minutes. But if you are coming anyway, it is worth waiting until you have enough for a 40 lb — one bigger wash costs less and takes half the total time of two small ones.
