Gentle Parenting Coach in Columbus, OH
Calmer days at home. Warm, practical coaching for tired parents who love their kids and want fewer power struggles — with a plan that fits your family, not a parenting book's.

Twelve Years in a Kindergarten Classroom, Three Kids at Home
I taught kindergarten for twelve years, which is excellent training in tantrums, transitions and the art of getting twenty-two small people into coats. Then I had three children of my own and learned, humbly, that home is harder.
I coach parents the way I wish someone had coached me: no judgment, no scripts from a book, just calm and practical changes that fit your family and your kids.
- ✓Twelve years teaching kindergarten
- ✓Certified parent coach, ICF-accredited training
- ✓Mom of three, ages 7 to 15

Quieter Evenings, Happier Mornings

Our four-year-old's meltdowns were running the house. Nora didn't hand us a sticker chart — she helped us understand what was happening in his body and ours. Six weeks later, bedtime takes twenty minutes instead of two hours, and I yell a lot less.
Parenting a fourteen-year-old felt like negotiating with a stranger. Nora gave me words that don't start a fight and a plan for phones we both actually stick to.
My husband and I parent very differently. Two sessions together got us on the same page for the first time in years — the kids noticed before we did.

Parents Often Ask
Do my kids come to sessions?
Usually not. Coaching is for parents — when you change how you respond, your kids' behavior shifts too. For teens, one joint session is sometimes helpful.
Is parent coaching the same as family therapy?
No. I'm a coach, not a licensed therapist. If I think your child or family would benefit from a therapist, pediatrician or evaluation, I'll say so and help you find one.
What if my partner isn't on board?
That's common. Many parents start alone; some partners join later for a Getting on the Same Page session.
Can we meet during nap time?
Yes — weekday sessions run 9:00 to 2:30, with evening slots after bedtime, and video means you don't need a sitter.
Do you offer sliding-scale fees?
A few sliding-scale spots open each month. Mention it on your free chat — no explanation needed.
You Don't Have to Figure It Out Alone
Twenty minutes, at nap time or after bedtime. Bring the hardest part of your day.
Let's Find a Time to Talk
Sessions happen by video or at the Clintonville studio on North High Street, by appointment around naps and bedtimes.
