An Unanchored Safe Is A Heavy Box On Wheels
Thieves do not open safes in the house. They tip them onto a dolly and open them somewhere quiet with time and tools. Every gun safe leaves the factory with anchor holes in the base for exactly this reason, and a startling number are never used. Anchoring is the cheapest part of the whole purchase and the part that decides whether the safe is doing its job.

Common Questions
Can you get a safe into a basement?
Usually, yes. It depends on the stair width, the turn at the landing and the headroom. That is exactly what the site survey establishes — and if it genuinely will not go, we will say so before you buy rather than after.
Do I really need it anchored?
Yes. An unanchored safe can be tipped onto a dolly and taken away whole. Anchoring is a small part of the cost and the single biggest factor in whether the safe protects anything.
Will anchoring damage my floor?
Anchors go through the safe base into the slab or joists, so the holes are hidden under the unit for its whole life. If the safe ever moves, the holes are patchable and we do that as part of a relocation.
Can you put a safe upstairs?
Sometimes. A loaded safe concentrates a lot of weight on a small footprint, so we check the span, the joist size and the direction before agreeing. We would rather recommend a lighter unit than sign off on something we are not sure about.
Do you move safes we did not install?
Yes, that is a large part of our work — house moves, room changes and estate clearances. We will survey it the same way and quote a fixed price.
What if I forget the combination?
Call us. For units we installed we hold the change records, and for others we can usually recover access without destroying the safe. Bring proof it is yours.
