We pick wherever the lock allows it, and on the rare occasion drilling is genuinely the only option we will tell you why before we start, not afterwards when you are looking at the bill.

Common Questions
How fast can you actually get here?
Around thirty minutes inside Austin most of the time, longer at rush hour or out toward Pflugerville. We will give you a real number when you call rather than telling everyone twenty minutes.
Will you damage my lock getting in?
Usually not. Most locks can be picked open and that is what we try first, because it leaves you with the lock you already own. If a lock genuinely cannot be picked we will tell you before we start.
What does a lockout cost?
It depends on the hour and the lock, which is why we quote on the phone rather than advertising a headline number. Whatever we say on the call is what appears on the invoice.
Should I rekey or replace my locks after moving in?
Rekey, almost always. It is cheaper, it takes less time, and unless the hardware is worn or you want to upgrade it, a rekeyed lock is exactly as secure as a new one.
Can you get all my doors onto one key?
Yes, and most people ask for it. Front, back, garage side door and a deadbolt that came from a different manufacturer can usually all be brought onto a single key in one visit.
Can you make a car key if I have lost all of them?
Yes, for most makes back to the late nineties, at the car rather than at a dealership. Bring proof the vehicle is yours — we will not originate a key without it.
Do you program key fobs and push-to-start?
Yes. Some makes have a security wait period built in that we cannot shorten, and we will tell you about that on the phone rather than when we are standing at your car.
