About Wrenhaven

The Clinic That Tells You to Wait

Wrenhaven opened six years ago in a converted warehouse space on Howell Mill Road, for one reason: the aesthetics industry had decided that new mothers were a market, and almost nobody in it was willing to say the most useful thing — not yet.

A great deal of what people book us for at eight weeks postpartum has substantially resolved by five months. Skin laxity retracts. Hair shedding stops and regrows. Melasma often fades as hormones settle. Treating all of it early costs money, achieves less, and occasionally makes things worse. So we assess, we explain what your body is likely to do on its own, and we book you back in when treatment will actually earn its place.

We also built the room for the reality of it. There's a bassinet, there's space for a pram, and nobody minds a feed halfway through.

  • Postpartum care almost exclusively — 6 years
  • Consultations are assessments, not sales appointments
  • Breastfeeding-safe alternatives for every treatment we gate
  • Bassinet in the room; feeds and naps are fine

What We Actually Treat

Eight things, each with an honest note on when it's worth starting.

Postpartum Skin Assessment

A full look at skin, scarring and pigmentation with standardised photographs, plus a plain-English view of what is likely to settle on its own. Often the only appointment you need for a while.

Melasma & Pregnancy Mask

The pigmentation across cheeks, forehead and upper lip that arrived in pregnancy. Slow, patient work — and in a Georgia summer, sun and heat management matters more than any device.

C-Section Scar Treatment

Softening and flattening a raised, tight or tethered scar. We usually start from around three months, and the results here are among the most reliable things we do.

Stretch Mark Resurfacing

Best results come once marks have faded from red to silver, which takes six to twelve months. We'll tell you where yours are in that process before you commit.

Skin Tightening After Birth

Non-surgical tightening for abdominal skin — but only after natural retraction has finished, which is usually six months and sometimes longer.

Postpartum Hair Shedding

The shedding that starts around three months alarms nearly everybody. It is almost always temporary. We check for the causes that aren't, and treat only if there's something to treat.

Breastfeeding-Safe Facials

Hydration, barrier repair and gentle clearing chosen specifically to be fine while feeding. This is the category most people can start immediately.

Return-to-You Consultations

An hour to talk through everything at once, with a written plan and a sequence. Free, and frequently ends with us asking you to come back in three months.

Why Wrenhaven

Four Things We Do Differently

Mostly they amount to restraint.

1

We Gate on Timing, Not Budget

If a treatment works better at six months than at eight weeks, we book it at six months. It costs us the earlier appointment and it is the whole reason people trust us with the later ones.

2

Cleared by Your Provider First

Nothing starts before your postpartum check, and for anything beyond facials we want your OB or midwife comfortable with it. We'll write to them if that's easier.

3

Feeding-Safe Is Checked, Not Assumed

Every plan is reviewed against whether you're breastfeeding, and we'll always name the alternative rather than just telling you no.

4

No Packages, No Countdowns

We don't sell bundles and we don't market to a wedding, a holiday or a return-to-work date. You'll be quoted per treatment, and you can stop at any point.

What Changes After Birth

The Things Nobody Warns You About

All of these are ordinary. Some resolve on their own, some don't, and knowing which is most of the value we add.

Pigmentation That Stayed

Melasma often fades as hormones settle, but a stubborn share doesn't. Georgia sun and heat both work against it, so protection comes before treatment.

A Scar That Won't Settle

Raised, tight or tethered C-section scars respond genuinely well to treatment, and far too few people are told so at their six-week check.

Stretch Marks Changing Colour

Red and purple marks are still maturing. Once they turn silver they're stable, and that's the point at which resurfacing earns its money.

Hair Coming Out in Handfuls

It starts around three months and it is frightening the first time. In the overwhelming majority of cases it stops and regrows without any intervention.

Skin That Hasn't Retracted

Abdominal skin keeps tightening for months. Treating it too early gives a smaller result than waiting for the free improvement first.

Skin That Just Feels Different

Drier, more reactive, breaking out in places it never did. Usually a barrier and hormone story rather than anything that needs a device.

When to Start

A Rough Map of the First Year

Every body is different and this is a guide, not a rule. Your assessment is what turns it into a plan.

01

0-6 Weeks — Nothing

You're healing and you haven't had your check yet. We'll happily talk to you, but we won't treat anything, and anyone who offers to should worry you.

02

6 Weeks-3 Months — Gentle Only

Once you're cleared: hydration, barrier repair and breastfeeding-safe facials. Good for your skin, and honestly good for an hour to yourself.

03

3-6 Months — Scars & Pigment

C-section scar work usually starts here, and melasma treatment if it hasn't faded on its own. Hair shedding is peaking and almost always needs patience, not treatment.

04

6-12 Months — The Rest

Skin tightening once retraction has finished, and stretch mark resurfacing once the marks have turned silver. This is where the bigger treatments finally make sense.

Atlanta Mothers

In Their Words

I came in at nine weeks convinced I needed everything fixed at once, and they sent me home. Told me to come back at four months, gave me two things to do in the meantime, and charged me nothing. When I did come back, half of what I'd panicked about had sorted itself out.
Marisol T.Return-to-You Consultation, Inman Park
The melasma across my cheeks was the one thing I genuinely could not talk myself into accepting. They were straight with me that it would be slow and that summer in Georgia works against it. Eight months on it's about eighty percent gone and I stopped noticing it long before that.
Chioma A.Melasma Programme, Brookhaven
My C-section scar had gone hard and raised and nobody at my six-week check had much to say about it. Six sessions later it's flat, it's soft, and it doesn't pull when I stretch. I wish someone had told me this was even an option.

The Questions We Get Most

How soon after birth can I book anything?

Talk to us whenever you like — the consultation is free and there's no minimum. For treatment, nothing before your postpartum check at around six weeks, and for most things we'd rather see you between three and six months when your body has done its own work first.

Can I have treatments while breastfeeding?

Many, yes. Facials, hydration and barrier work are generally fine. Some lasers, several actives and anything injected need either a pause or a different approach. We check every plan against feeding and we'll always offer you the alternative rather than just declining.

Will my stretch marks ever go completely?

No, and we won't tell you otherwise. Resurfacing improves texture and colour meaningfully — often to the point where you stop looking for them — but complete removal isn't something any clinic can honestly promise.

Is it too late if my baby is three years old?

Not at all, and about a third of our patients are more than a year out. Scar work, pigmentation and resurfacing all still respond well. The timing guidance is about not starting too early, not about a window closing.

Can I bring my baby to appointments?

Please do. There's a bassinet in the treatment room, room for a pram, and we build in time for a feed. It is genuinely easier for everyone than you rearranging your life around us.

Why won't you sell me a package?

Because packages are paid upfront and postpartum bodies change month to month. You'd end up committed to sessions you may not need. You'll be quoted per treatment and you can stop whenever you like.

What does the consultation cost?

Nothing. It runs about an hour, includes standardised photographs, and you leave with a written plan and a sequence. A fair number of them end with us asking you to come back in three months and do nothing in the meantime.

Do you treat anything for the second baby too?

Constantly. Plenty of our patients come back after a second or third and it's usually quicker the second time, because we already have your baseline photographs and know how your skin behaves.
