Rebuild Your Skin from Within — PRP & Microneedling in Boston, MA
Collagen induction therapy using your own platelet-rich plasma — physician-supervised, gradual, and unmistakably your own skin. No filler, no frozen look, no downtime you can't plan around.

Skin Concerns Collagen Can Fix
Microneedling triggers your skin's own repair response. PRP amplifies it with growth factors drawn from your own blood.
Fine Lines & Crepey Texture
Early lines around the eyes and mouth, and the thin, crepey texture that creams can't reach.
Acne Scarring
Rolling and boxcar scars softened over a series as new collagen fills them from beneath.
Under-Eye Hollows & Darkness
Thin, shadowed under-eye skin thickened and brightened without adding volume or filler.
Large Pores & Congestion
Visibly refined pores and smoother, more even skin surface after a full series.
Sun Damage & Uneven Tone
Years of Boston summers softened as pigment disperses and fresh collagen replaces damaged tissue.
Dull, Tired-Looking Skin
The overall skin quality reset — bounce, glow, and firmness that reads as rested, not treated.
Collagen-First Skin Rejuvenation
Every treatment begins with a consultation. We'll tell you honestly whether PRP is right for you — and when something simpler would serve you better.

Your Own Biology, Properly Used
Vellum opened on Newbury Street seven years ago with a narrow focus: do regenerative skin treatments properly, and do very little else. We process every PRP sample in-house, under physician supervision, so we control quality from draw to treatment.
We are deliberately conservative. Collagen takes months to build, so we plan in series rather than promising overnight change, and we will tell you when a treatment isn't right for your skin. Our clients stay with us for years because the results look like them — just better rested, firmer, and clearer.
- ✓PRP drawn and processed in-house, same visit
- ✓Physician-supervised protocols end to end
- ✓Planned series, not one-off promises
- ✓Honest advice — including when to say no
What a PRP Series Actually Looks Like
Collagen is built, not bought. Here's the real timeline, start to finish.
Consultation & Skin Mapping
We assess your skin under magnification, discuss your goals honestly, and decide together whether PRP, classic microneedling, or something else is right.
Your First Treatment
A small blood draw, PRP processed in-house while you relax, then numbing and treatment. About ninety minutes from arrival to leaving.
48 Hours of Recovery
Pink, warm skin like a light sunburn for a day or two. Most clients are back to normal makeup and plans by day three.
Weeks Three to Six
New collagen begins forming beneath the surface. Texture softens first, then tone and firmness follow. This is where patience pays.
The Full Series
Three to four sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, tuned to how your skin responds rather than a fixed package.
Maintenance
Two sessions a year keep collagen production active and your results holding, with a simple homecare routine between visits.
A Quiet Room on Newbury Street
Two treatment rooms, an in-house processing lab, and none of the clinical coldness you'd expect.

What Makes the Difference
Regenerative treatments live or die on technique, sterility, and honest planning.
Processed In-House
Your PRP never leaves the building. We draw, spin, and treat in one visit, under our own quality control.
Physician-Supervised
Every protocol is written and overseen by a supervising physician — not improvised treatment to treatment.
Planned in Series
We map the whole course up front so you know the visits, the spacing, and the cost before you start.
Honest Recommendations
If PRP won't get you where you want to go, we'll say so and point you to what will — even if it isn't us.
Questions, Answered Honestly
What exactly is PRP?
Platelet-rich plasma is made from a small sample of your own blood. We spin it in-house to concentrate the platelets and growth factors, then apply and micro-channel it into the skin, where it amplifies your natural healing and collagen response.
Does microneedling hurt?
We apply a topical numbing cream for about twenty minutes beforehand, and most clients describe the treatment itself as a strong vibration rather than pain. Bonier areas like the forehead are the most noticeable, and it's over quickly.
Is PRP better than classic microneedling?
For most goals, yes — PRP typically means a stronger collagen response and faster recovery. But classic microneedling is an excellent, more affordable entry point, and for some skin we recommend starting there. We'll give you a straight answer at your consultation.
How much downtime is there?
Expect pink, warm skin resembling a light sunburn for one to two days, sometimes with slight flaking on day three. Most clients wear makeup again from day two and plan treatments for a Thursday or Friday.
What can't I do afterwards?
No makeup, gym, or direct sun for the first twenty-four hours, and no retinoids or acids for about five days. We send you home with everything you need and a simple written plan.
When will I see results?
You'll see a glow within a week, but real change is collagen-driven and arrives between weeks three and six after each session. The full result of a series shows around three months after your last treatment.
How many sessions do I need?
Three to four sessions spaced four to six weeks apart suits most people, with acne scarring often needing more. We'll map your series at the consultation and adjust based on how your skin actually responds.
How long do results last?
New collagen is real tissue, so results last, but your skin keeps ageing. Two maintenance sessions a year hold what you've built and keep collagen production working in your favour.
