Cooking Classes in San Diego
Private classes in your own kitchen: a chef brings the ingredients and the know-how, teaches you to cook a full meal, and then you sit down and eat it.
Cook It Together, Then Eat It
Every class ends at the table with the meal you just made.

Plating Is Part of the Lesson
Every class ends with plates worth photographing, because how food looks is half of why people cook it. Brisbin shows the professional way — a warm plate, sauce first, a squeeze bottle for the details — and then hands you the bottle.
We bring every ingredient and the tools you don't have, keep classes small enough that everyone cooks, and leave the recipes behind so you can make it again on a Tuesday.
- ✓Hands-on, never a demo

Choose Your Class
Every class runs about three hours in your kitchen and ends with dinner, lunch or a long afternoon snack.

Three Hours, Start to Table
How a typical evening class for six to ten cooks runs.
Knives out
Twenty minutes of knife work while the oven heats — the one skill every recipe tonight needs.
A station for every pair
Each pair owns a dish: one on the dough, one on the sauce, one on the salsa.
Taste and adjust
The chef goes round tasting with you, so everyone learns what "needs acid" means.
Recipe cards to keep
Printed recipes stay behind for the next time you cook it on a weeknight.
Better Than a Class Across Town
Your own kitchen
You learn on the stove and knives you'll use next week, not a teaching kitchen you'll never see again.
Only your group
No strangers at the station — the class is paced for the people you invited.
Everyone cooks
Small groups mean every person chops, stirs and plates, not just watches.
Nothing to clean
We wash up while you sit down to eat.
Just Bring an Appetite
All ingredients
Shopped the morning of your class.
Tools and aprons
Knives, boards and anything specialized.
Recipes to keep
Every dish written up and emailed after.
The washing up
Your kitchen back the way we found it.
Allergy-aware menus
Every allergy planned around before the day.
A seat at the table
Dinner, lunch or a long afternoon snack, eaten together.

A Class Makes a Great Gift
Birthdays, anniversaries and housewarmings — book a class for someone else and we'll arrange the date with them.
Cooking Class Questions
How are classes priced?
By the person, with ingredients included. Smaller groups have a minimum. You get a quote as soon as you tell us the group and the menu.
How big does my kitchen need to be?
If four people can stand around your counter or island, it works. For bigger groups we set up two stations.
Can kids take part?
Yes — we plan tasks by age, and younger cooks need a grown-up from their family in the room.
Can you work around allergies?
Tell us every allergy when you book and we'll plan the class without it, then tell you exactly what goes into each dish.
Do you bring wine?
No. You're welcome to pour your own, and we'll suggest what goes well with the menu.
Where do you teach?
In your home anywhere in San Diego — La Jolla, Del Mar, Point Loma, Coronado, North Park and nearby.
