Most boarding kennels are built for dogs, with a room for cats somewhere near the barking. Cats hear all of it, smell all of it, and many stop eating. Lindenmew has only ever boarded cats: eighteen private suites across two quiet floors, soft music, windows onto the courtyard, and the same small team caring for your cat morning and evening.

Suites & Nightly Rates
Every suite includes twice-daily care rounds, your cat's own food on their schedule, litter changed daily and a daily photo.
Studio Suite$48 / night
A private suite with a hideaway box, a climbing shelf and a view of the playroom. For one cat.
Window Suite$58 / night
Our most requested: a floor-to-ceiling window onto the courtyard, two shelves and a sunny ledge. For one or two cats.
Family Suite$82 / night
Twice the floor space and three levels for siblings who live together. Up to three cats from one home.
Senior & Medical Care+$12 / night
Insulin, pills, fluids and extra check-ins, every dose logged with a time. Added to any suite.
Stay-And-Groom+$65
A bath, blow-dry and comb-out on the last day of the stay, so your cat comes home clean.
Holiday dates (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) have a three-night minimum and book out by October.

Older Cats And Cats On Medication
About a third of our guests are seniors or on daily medication. We give insulin, pills, drops and subcutaneous fluids on your schedule, log every dose with a time, and keep special diets exactly as they are at home. Seniors get a ground-level suite with a padded bed and a low-sided litter box.

Before Your Cat's First Stay
How much does cat boarding cost in San Francisco?
Cat boarding in San Francisco usually runs $40–$85 a night depending on the suite and care level. Ours starts at $48 for a Studio Suite, $58 for a Window Suite and $82 for a Family Suite for up to three cats. Medical care is +$12 a night.
What vaccinations does my cat need?
Rabies and FVRCP, current and on file with us before check-in. Cats must also be free of fleas.
Can my cats share a suite?
Yes, if they live together. The Window Suite takes two and the Family Suite up to three from one home. We never mix cats from different homes.
What should I bring?
Your cat's food, any medication, and something that smells of home — a blanket or a worn T-shirt. We provide bedding, bowls, litter and toys.
Will I get updates?
Every evening you get a photo and a line about appetite, litter and mood. Call any time during check-in hours to talk to the team.
Do you board dogs?
Never. Lindenmew is cats only, which is the whole point.
