Cars Shot the Way They Deserve

A car is one of the hardest things to photograph well, and one of the most rewarding. The bodywork is a giant curved mirror that shows every light, reflection, and mess in the room; the paint has depth that a bad photo flattens into a gray blob; and the thing that makes a car feel alive — motion — is nearly impossible to fake. Redline was built to get all of it right. For eleven years I've photographed cars across Los Angeles — dealership high-line inventory, private collections, editorial features, and national brand campaigns — and I've learned that automotive photography is equal parts craft and obsession. The craft is control: managing reflections so the panels read clean, lighting the paint so the color and depth pop, and shooting rolling rigs and pans on the canyons so the car is razor-sharp while the road and wheels blur into real speed. The obsession is caring as much about the machine as the owner does — respecting it, understanding what makes each one special, and photographing that. For dealers, it means showroom-perfect inventory that moves metal and delivers same week. For collectors, it means magazine-quality images of a car you love, worthy of the garage wall. For brands, it means hero images that make the bodywork look like sculpture. Send me the car and the goal, and I'll bring back images that do it justice — reflections controlled, paint popping, motion real.

  • Reflections controlled, panels clean
  • Paint and depth that actually pop
  • Real rolling motion, razor-sharp car
  • We care about the machine like you do
Why We're the Call

Three Reasons the Cars Look This Good

What eleven years and two thousand vehicles teaches you.

Reflection Control

A car is a mirror. We manage every reflection so the panels read clean and the shape reads true.

Paint That Pops

We light for depth and color, so metallic flake and deep clearcoat show up instead of flattening out.

Real Motion

Rolling rigs and canyon pans — the car sharp, the world blurred — for speed you can actually feel.

Photography That Moves Metal

In the car business, the photo is the salesperson that works while you sleep. A buyer scrolling listings at midnight decides in a second whether to click, and a dull, dim, reflection-blown photo loses the sale to the dealer down the road whose cars look showroom-perfect. Redline makes sure that's you. For dealerships, we shoot high-line and full inventory fast and consistently, lot after lot, with controlled reflections and paint that pops, delivered same week so nothing sits unlisted — and dealers tell us plainly that the shots move metal and shorten days-on-lot. For auto and aftermarket brands, we produce hero campaign imagery that makes the bodywork look like sculpture, on location or in studio, static and rolling, cohesive across every placement. And for collectors, we make magazine-quality images of the cars you love, worthy of a frame. What all of them get is a photographer who's genuinely obsessed with cars, technically flawless on reflections and motion, and fast enough to keep a lot moving or a campaign on schedule. Eleven years and two thousand vehicles in, that combination is why we're the call in LA. Send us the car — or the whole lot — and we'll make it look like the best version of itself.

  • Showroom-perfect inventory that sells
  • Hero campaign imagery for brands
  • Magazine-quality for collectors
  • Fast, consistent, obsessed with cars

Redline shoots our entire high-line inventory and it has completely changed how our listings perform. The cars look showroom-perfect — reflections controlled, paint popping, every angle a buyer needs — and the shots move metal. They're fast, consistent lot to lot, and the delivery is same-week every time. For a dealership, that's not a photo expense, it's a sales tool. We won't shoot inventory any other way.

I've had my collection photographed a few times and Redline is on another level. The rolling shots of my 911 on Angeles Crest are magazine-quality — sharp car, blurred road, real motion — and the studio detail work makes the paint and chrome look like jewelry. They clearly love cars, they respected the machines, and the final images are framed in my garage now. Worth every dollar for a car you care about.

We hired Redline for a national brand campaign for a new EV and they delivered hero images that ran across OOH and digital. The lighting on the bodywork was flawless, the location scouting was spot-on, and the rolling and static work all felt premium and cohesive. Professional, creative, and completely dialed on set. Our client was thrilled and we've booked them again. The best car shooters in LA.
Good Questions

Automotive Shoots, Answered

Can you shoot our whole dealership inventory consistently?

Yes — high-volume, consistent inventory work is a core part of what we do. We photograph high-line and full inventory with a repeatable setup so every car on your site looks cohesive and showroom-perfect, lot after lot: controlled reflections, popped paint, and every angle a buyer needs. We're fast and we deliver same week so nothing sits unlisted, and we can work on-lot or bring cars to a controlled space depending on your setup. Dealers consistently tell us the shots move metal and cut days-on-lot, because a buyer decides in a second from the photo. Tell us your volume and cadence and we'll scope an inventory package that keeps your listings looking their best.

Do you do rolling / action shots?

Absolutely — rolling shots are some of our favorite and most requested work. Using rolling rigs and canyon pan techniques, we freeze the car razor-sharp while the road, wheels, and background blur into genuine motion, giving you that magazine-quality sense of speed you simply can't fake with a parked car. LA's canyons — Angeles Crest, Mulholland, the coast — are a playground for it, and we know the roads, the light, and how to do it safely. Rolling work is perfect for editorial, brand campaigns, and collectors who want their car looking alive rather than static. If motion is what you're after, tell us the car and we'll plan the location and the shots.

How do you handle reflections and paint?

Carefully, because it's the whole game in car photography. A car's bodywork is essentially a giant curved mirror, so the difference between an amateur photo and a professional one is almost entirely about controlling what those panels reflect and how the paint is lit. We manage reflections on set — with positioning, flags, and lighting — and refine them in post so the panels read clean and the shape of the car reads true, not cluttered with the room. And we light specifically for the paint, bringing out metallic flake, the depth of a deep clearcoat, and accurate color instead of letting it flatten into a dull gray. It's the single biggest reason cars we shoot look premium, and it's exactly what separates a specialist from a generalist with a nice camera.

Do you shoot at night, golden hour, or in studio?

All three, and we'll recommend what suits the car and the goal. Golden hour gives warm, dimensional light and gorgeous reflections — ideal for editorial and collector work. Night shoots, with city lights or controlled lighting reflecting off the paint, produce dramatic, moody, high-impact images that are incredible for campaigns and enthusiasts. A controlled studio gives total command of reflections and light for clean hero shots, detail work, and consistent inventory. Many projects mix them. When you reach out, tell us the car and how you'll use the images, and we'll plan the timing and setting — and the location if we're shooting out — to get the best possible result.

What areas do you cover and what does it cost?

We're based in the LA Arts District and shoot across Los Angeles and Southern California — the canyons, downtown, the coast, Long Beach, and our controlled space — and we travel for the right project. Pricing is quoted by the job: single-car sessions, editorial and campaign shoots, and dealership inventory packages all price differently, so we build a clear quote based on the scope, locations, and deliverables rather than a flat rate, and volume inventory work brings the per-car cost down. Reach out with the car or the lot, the goal, and any timing, and we'll send options fast. For a car you're selling, featuring, or launching, great photography pays for itself in speed and impact.
