Sixteen years later, we're still family-owned, and we still know our regulars — both the two-legged and the four-legged ones — by name. Our certified groomers treat every pet like their own, our shelves are stocked with food and supplies we'd actually give our own animals, and our boarding and daycare team sends you photos so you never have to wonder how your buddy is doing. Do I need an appointment for grooming?
Yes, grooming is by appointment so your pet gets unhurried, one-on-one attention — no crowded waiting and no rushing. You can book online in about a minute or give us a call. New pets get a quick, free meet-and-greet first so we can learn their personality, coat, and any special needs before the big day. Walk in anytime for food, supplies, and a friendly hello, though!
What kinds of pets do you groom?
We groom dogs and cats of every breed, size, coat type, and age — from tiny doodle puppies to giant fluffballs and dignified seniors. Our groomers are experienced with nervous, reactive, and elderly pets and tailor every appointment to keep it calm and low-stress. If your pet has special handling needs, just tell us when you book and we'll plan around them. No pet is too wiggly, shy, or particular for us.
What food brands and supplies do you carry?
We stock a carefully chosen range of high-quality dog and cat food — kibble, raw, fresh, and prescription diets — plus treats, toys, beds, leashes, litter, supplements, and all the everyday essentials. We focus on brands we'd feed our own pets and skip the junk. Our staff genuinely know the products and are happy to help you find the right fit. Don't see what you need? We special-order at no extra charge.
How does boarding and daycare work?
Daycare is a fun, supervised day of play and rest, with dogs grouped by size and temperament and cats in their own quiet space. Boarding gives overnight guests a cozy private suite, daily walks, playtime, and lots of attention. We follow your feeding and medication schedule exactly, and send photo updates so you can relax. Reservations are required (especially around holidays), and we'll need your pet's vaccination records on file.
Do you do adoptions?
We don't house animals ourselves, but we partner with wonderful Boulder-area rescues to host regular weekend adoption events right in the shop — and we help match a lot of pets with their forever families. Follow us or ask in store for the next event date. Even if you're not adopting, stopping by to meet the animals (and maybe sponsor one) is a lovely way to spend a Saturday and support local rescue work.
Where are you and when are you open?
You'll find us at 2100 Walnut Street in Boulder, with easy parking right out front. We're open seven days a week: Monday through Friday 9am to 7pm, Saturday 9am to 6pm, and Sunday 10am to 5pm. Grooming and boarding run by appointment within those hours, while the shop is open for browsing, supplies, and friendly advice anytime we're unlocked.
