Protect What You've Built — Estate Planning Notary in Scottsdale
Estate executions, trust signings, and family-office support for the Valley's finest addresses — conducted at your residence, sequenced to your counsel's instructions, and handled with the discretion your affairs deserve.
The Work of a Deliberate Practice
Six disciplines, each conducted by a commissioned Arizona notary versed in estate formalities.

Built for Documents That Outlive Us All
Estate documents are peculiar things: signed once, consulted rarely, and asked to perform flawlessly decades later — often at the worst possible moment, in front of a probate judge. Legacy exists to make sure they can.
Twelve years and nearly ten thousand executions in, the practice runs on three disciplines: formalities observed exactly as Arizona law and your counsel's instructions require; records kept to a standard that evidences any signature for decades; and discretion so complete that many clients appear in our journals by initials alone. The setting is usually a beautiful one — a terrace in Silverleaf, a study in Arcadia — but the standard would be identical anywhere.
- ✓Counsel's instructions followed exactly
- ✓Records that evidence signatures for decades
- ✓Clients by initials, affairs kept private
- ✓Witnesses arranged from our own staff
Exactness, as a Courtesy
The disciplines our clients and their counsel rely upon.
To the Minute
Appointments begin when promised. Your afternoon is scheduled around the signing, and ours around you.
Sequenced Correctly
Estate plans sign in a particular order for good reasons. We keep the sequence your counsel intended.
Witnesses, Provided
Qualified, disinterested witnesses from our staff — nobody recruits the pool man at the last minute.
Journaled for Decades
Every act recorded to archival standard, retrievable whenever probate or posterity asks.
Covered Appropriately
Bonded, insured to $2M E&O, and background-checked — credentials on request, without ceremony.
Human at the Bedside
Hospital executions handled with the same exactness and considerably more gentleness.
The Valley's Quiet Confidence
Our estate plan involved a trust restatement, two deeds, and healthcare documents for both of us — executed in one unhurried afternoon on our own terrace in Silverleaf. The notary arranged witnesses, sequenced every signature correctly, and treated the occasion with the gravity it held for our family. Our attorney called the execution packet flawless.
As a wealth manager I coordinate signings for clients across the Valley, and Legacy is the only notary I'll put in front of them. Punctual to the minute, dressed for the room, and precise about formalities my clients' attorneys care deeply about. They make my practice look good.
Splitting time between Chicago and DC Ranch means our documents never seem to be in the right state. Legacy coordinates with our family office, handles the Arizona side of everything — deeds, trust amendments, the winter-season signings — and keeps records our estate counsel can rely on. Seamless, year after year.

The Notary You Put in Front of Clients
Estate attorneys, wealth managers, and family offices route their client signings through Legacy for a simple reason: we make the advisor look good. Your client meets a punctual professional dressed for the room, the execution follows your instruction letter exactly, and the completed packet returns to you with every formality photographable.
Seventy-plus advisory relationships run on standing arrangements — priority scheduling, a consistent notary who learns each family's preferences, and quarterly records summaries for your files. Your client's experience of 'signing day' becomes one more thing you got exactly right.

Answered With Candor
Do you work with our estate attorney?
Almost always — most engagements arrive through counsel or a wealth advisor, and we treat the instruction letter as scripture. Execution order, witness requirements, certificate wording: followed exactly, with anything ambiguous confirmed before the appointment rather than improvised at the table. Drafting and strategy remain your attorney's; the flawless execution is ours.
Can signings happen at our home?
It's the heart of the practice. Most executions take place at residences across Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, and the North Valley — terraces, studies, dining rooms — with everything the formalities require brought along, including staff witnesses. The setting relaxes; the standard doesn't.
What about signings at Mayo Clinic or a care residence?
Handled with priority and gentleness. When health makes documents urgent, we can usually be at a Valley hospital or care residence the same day — coordinating with family and care teams, confirming the signer's capacity honestly, and conducting the execution with patience. These are the appointments where exactness matters most, and kindness matters equally.
How does the family-office arrangement work?
A standing relationship: priority scheduling, a consistent notary who knows the family's households and preferences, coordination with your multi-state counsel for seasonal residents, and quarterly summaries of executed acts for your records. One phone number, one standard, year after year. Seventy-plus advisory relationships run this way.
What does the practice charge?
Arizona's statutory fee per notarial act, plus quoted flat fees for residence visits, arranged witnesses, and standing arrangements — stated in full before any engagement begins. The figures are unremarkable; the absence of surprises is the point. Twelve years without a disputed invoice.
Why does discretion matter so much in this work?
Because estate documents describe exactly the things families prefer kept private — wealth, intentions, health, and occasionally disagreements. Our journals record what law requires and nothing more, many clients appear by initials alone, and your affairs are never discussed with anyone not party to the signing. In twelve years, the practice's silence has never been questioned.
