How do your fees work?
Permanent placements carry a one-time fee based on the new hire's first-year salary, charged only once they start. Temporary and contract staff are billed hourly, and that rate covers their pay, taxes and insurance. We'll put the numbers in writing before any search begins.
What if a new hire doesn't work out?
If a permanent hire leaves or is let go within the first ninety days, we recruit a replacement at no extra charge.
How quickly can you send candidates?
For most roles you'll see a shortlist of interviewed, reference-checked people within 48 hours of our first call. Temporary staff can often start within two or three days.
Do you charge job seekers anything?
Never. Employers pay our fees. Registering, interviewing and being placed through Thornquist is free for candidates.

Can a temporary worker become permanent?
Yes. That's what temp-to-hire is for. After up to twelve weeks on assignment you can take them on permanently at a reduced fee.

A consultant who recruits in your field calls you, usually the next working day, to talk about what you want. We'll only send your details to an employer after you've agreed to that specific role.
