Four Broths, One Obsession

Not sure where to start? Here's the lay of the land — then just point at whichever one sounds best.

Tonkotsu

Rich, creamy, pork-bone broth simmered 20 hours. The full-throttle classic and our best seller.

Spicy Miso

Deep miso, chili, and ground pork. Warming, punchy, and impossible to put down.

Shoyu

A lighter, clearer soy-chicken broth for when you want clean over rich. The purist's pick.

Veg Shoyu

A mushroom-kombu broth with real depth. Vegetarian ramen that stands on its own.

The 20 Hours

How the Broth Gets That Good

There are no shortcuts to a broth like this. Here's what happens before the shop even opens.

Pork bones and aromatics prepped for broth1

Roast & Blanch

Pork bones are blanched, rinsed, and roasted to build the base flavor before the long simmer starts.

A large pot of broth simmering on the stove2

Simmer 20 Hours

A hard, rolling boil for the better part of a day emulsifies the fat and collagen into that creamy tonkotsu body.

Fresh ramen noodles being made3

Pull the Noodles

House noodles, made fresh daily, cooked to order so every bowl gets the right chew.

A finished bowl of ramen being assembled4

Build the Bowl

Broth, noodles, chashu, egg, and the toppings — assembled fast and hot, then straight to you.

The Broth

Started as a Pop-Up, Never Slowed Down

Slurp Club began as a midnight ramen pop-up out of a Wicker Park basement, feeding line cooks and bartenders after their shifts. The line got long, the broth got better, and we never really stopped serving late.

We still make the broth the hard way, still open till 2am, and still put the same care into the veg bowl as the tonkotsu. There's a little mascot on everything and a gachapon machine by the door — because ramen this serious should still be fun.

Chicago Slurps Back

The tonkotsu is the real deal — 20 hours of broth and you can taste every one of them. Rich, creamy, ridiculous. I've been here at noon and at 1am and it's perfect both times. Chicago's best bowl, no contest.

The spicy miso destroyed me and I said thank you. The buns are unreal, the vibe is fun and loud, and it's the only place I trust for ramen at 1am after a show. Bring cash for the gachapon machine.

Took my whole crew and everyone found their bowl — the veg shoyu is legit, not an afterthought. Fast, friendly, and the slurp mascot on everything is impossibly cute. Instant favorite.

Good to Know

Before You Slurp

How late are you really open?

2am every single night, kitchen included till about 1:30. We're one of the only spots in Wicker Park serving real ramen well past midnight — post-show, post-shift, post-anything.

Is the vegetarian bowl actually good?

It's one of our best sellers. The veg shoyu runs on a mushroom-kombu broth with genuine depth — it's not a swap, it's its own thing. Vegan on request; just ask.

Do you take reservations?

We're walk-up only — part of the fun is the counter and the buzz. Waits move fast, and takeout is available all night if you'd rather slurp at home.

Can I order takeout or delivery?

Yes — takeout till close through the form or by phone, and we're on the usual delivery apps. We pack the broth and noodles separately so it travels right.

How spicy is the spicy miso?

A real, warming heat, but not a challenge-bowl. Want more? Ask for extra chili oil. Want less? We'll dial it back. Your bowl, your rules.

Where are you and is there parking?

1144 N Milwaukee in Wicker Park, right by the Damen Blue Line. Street parking around, and it's an easy walk from the whole neighborhood.
