Before your appointment, avoid blood-thinning substances like alcohol, caffeine, and certain supplements and medications (we'll give you the full list) for a day or two, since they can affect the skin during the procedure; avoid brow waxing or tinting right beforehand; and don't use exfoliating acids or retinols on the area for a week or two prior. Come with clean skin and, if you like, bring a photo of brows or lips you love so we can discuss your vision. Aftercare is straightforward but important, because how you treat the area while it heals directly affects how crisp and beautiful the final result is. In general, you'll keep the area clean and dry as directed, apply any recommended ointment sparingly, and — this is the big one — avoid picking or scratching as it flakes, avoid heavy sweating, swimming, saunas, and direct sun on the area, and keep skincare products off it during healing.
