EV Charger Installation in Durham, NC
Send us three photos of your electrical panel and where you park. You'll get a flat-rate price the same day — the number on the quote is the number on the invoice.

Chargers For Homes, Garages And Parking Lots
Every job is done by our own licensed electricians and pulled under a permit.
Three Photos, One Flat Price, Same Day
Your electrical panel with the door open, the label inside the door, and the spot where you want the charger. That's usually all we need to quote without a site visit.

We're Electricians Who Specialize In Chargers, Not Charger Salespeople
Brevick started as a two-truck residential electrical shop in 2017. The year our phones filled up with EV calls, we stopped doing everything else. Every job is run under our North Carolina electrical contractor license, permitted and inspected, and we'll tell you honestly when your existing panel can handle a charger without an upgrade — which is more often than you'd think.
- ✓Licensed North Carolina electrical contractor
- ✓Load calculation on every job before we quote
- ✓Permit and inspection in every price

Four Things That Decide Your Price
Room In Your Panel
A Level 2 charger needs a two-pole breaker slot. No space doesn't always mean a new panel — sometimes a tandem breaker or subpanel does it.
Your Service Size
Most Durham homes built after 1990 have 200-amp service and room for a charger. Older 100-amp homes need a load calculation, and often load management instead of an upgrade.
Distance To Where You Park
The longer the run from panel to charger, the more wire and conduit. A garage on the same wall as the panel is the cheapest install there is.
Hardwired Or Plug-In
Hardwired chargers can run at a higher amperage and don't depend on a receptacle holding up to daily use. We'll recommend one for your car and your panel.
One Price, Everything In It
Our home install price covers a typical run of up to 30 feet from the panel. Longer runs and upgrades are priced up front from your photos, never added on the day.

Chargers Your Tenants And Staff Will Actually Use
Networked charging for offices, apartment communities and HOAs — site plan, trenching, permits and utility coordination, with one point of contact from walk-through to switch-on.
Load-Managed Chargers
Stalls share power intelligently, so adding chargers rarely means a bigger electrical service.
Driver Billing Options
Free for staff, paid for visitors, or access-controlled for residents — your call.
Room To Add Stalls
Conduit sized and stubbed for the next chargers, so growth doesn't mean re-trenching.

EV Charger Questions
Do I need a Level 2 charger, or is a normal outlet enough?
A standard 120-volt outlet adds roughly three to five miles of range per hour — fine if you drive very little. A Level 2 charger adds around twenty to thirty-five miles per hour, so most cars are full by morning whatever you drove the day before.
Will my panel need an upgrade?
Often not. We do a load calculation before quoting, and many homes with 100-amp service can add a charger with load management rather than a new service. When an upgrade is genuinely needed, we price it up front.
Is there still a federal tax credit for home chargers?
No. The federal credit for home EV chargers ended for equipment installed after June 30, 2026. Some utilities and local programs still offer charger incentives from time to time; we'll check what applies to your address when we quote.
Which charger should I buy?
Any safety-certified Level 2 charger that matches your car's connector and the amperage your panel can support. Most new cars use the NACS plug or come with an adapter; we'll tell you what fits before you order.
Do you install chargers I've already bought?
Yes. Send us the model with your photos and we'll quote the installation only. If it's the wrong fit for your panel, we'll tell you before you open the box.
Can the charger run off solar?
Many chargers can be set to follow solar production, charging mostly from your panels during the day. We install solar-ready chargers now and plan the panel space for panels later.
