Our Trainers

Built By Players Who Got Better The Hard Way

Corvane started in a rented middle-school gym on weeknights in 2017 with one trainer, one rack of balls and six players. Our founder played small-college ball after being cut from his high school team as a sophomore, and he built the kind of training he wishes he'd had: honest, specific, and measured. Today our trainers work out of two full courts on the north side, every one of them background-checked and first-aid trained, and every session is logged so parents can see the work.

  • ✓Trainers who played high school or college ball
  • ✓Background checks and first-aid training for all staff
  • ✓Every session logged and shared with parents
  • ✓Never more than four players per trainer

Girls' Program

Half Our Players Are Girls. The Training Shows It.

Our girls' groups are coached by women who played the game, and our training is built for the way the girls' game is actually played — the passing reads, the shooting range, the strength work that protects knees. Girls can train one-on-one, in girls-only groups, or in mixed skill groups by level.

  • ✓Girls-only ball-handling and shooting groups
  • ✓Knee-safe landing and strength work in every session
  • ✓Coached by women who played high school and college ball

My daughter could only go left with her right hand. Eight weeks of ball-handling groups and she's attacking both sides of the floor, and her middle-school coach noticed before we said a word.

The shooting lab tracks every make. Seeing his percentage go from the low thirties to the mid-forties on a chart did more for my son's confidence than anything I could have told him.

I came in as a JV guard who couldn't finish through contact. They built my workouts around the stuff I actually do in games, and I made varsity as a junior.

Basketball Training Questions

What ages do you train?

Players from third grade through high school seniors, boys and girls. Summer camps are for ages 8 to 14; older players train one-on-one or in skill groups by level.

How is private training different from team practice?

Team practice is built for the team. A private session is built for one player's weak hand, shooting form or footwork — the reps that rarely get time at practice.

How often should my player train?

Once or twice a week in the off-season is plenty for most players, plus the home workout. During the season, every other week keeps skills sharp without adding fatigue.

Do you help players get recruited?

We build skills and we're honest about levels. We don't promise scholarships or roster spots, and we'd be wary of anyone who does.

What should my player bring?

Basketball shoes that only get worn indoors, a water bottle and their own ball if they have one.

What if we have to miss a session?

Let us know 24 hours ahead and we'll move it at no charge. Team games get rescheduled all the time — we plan around them.
