Local CPA Firm in Pasadena
Four licensed CPAs who prepare your returns, keep your books and plan the year ahead with you — for families, retirees and owner-run businesses, twelve months a year.

Small Enough To Know You
We opened in 2004 with two CPAs and a filing cabinet, and we've kept the firm small on purpose. Every client has one CPA who knows their return, their business and their plans — and who picks up the phone in July as readily as in April. All four of us are licensed by the California Board of Accountancy and take continuing education every year.

What We Do
Federal and California returns, books and planning — handled by the same small team all year.

Two incomes, kids, a home, college savings and the credits that come with them.

Restaurants, shops, studios and trades with one to forty employees.
Retirees
Pensions, Social Security, IRAs and the order you draw them down.

A rental or a small portfolio — depreciation, repairs and sales.
What A CPA Adds
Licensed And Accountable
CPAs are licensed by the state, take continuing education every year and answer to a board.
We Can Represent You
CPAs may represent clients before the IRS and the Franchise Tax Board in audits, appeals and collections.
Books And Taxes Together
When we keep the books, the return starts from numbers we already trust.
Planning, Not Just Filing
We look ahead with you in June and November, when there's still time to change the outcome.

Common Questions
How much does a CPA cost?
Most individual federal and California returns start at $450, and small business returns at $1,200. Your fixed fee is set in an engagement letter before we begin.
Is the first meeting free?
Yes. The first 30-minute consultation is free, in the office or by video.
Do you only work during tax season?
No. We're open year-round and most of our planning work happens between June and December.
Can you take over from my current accountant?
Yes. With your permission we'll request prior returns and books, and we'll review them before your first return with us.
How do I send you my documents?
Through our encrypted client portal, or in person at the office. Please don't email Social Security numbers or account statements.
Can you deal with the IRS for me?
Yes. As CPAs we can represent you before the IRS and the California Franchise Tax Board, with your signed authorization, in notices, audits, appeals and payment plans.
I got a notice. What should I do?
Don't ignore it and don't pay until someone has checked it. Send us a copy. Many notices are fixable with a letter and the right documents.
