Glass You Don't Have To Cover Up

Fairlow started with a simple question from a client in Mid City: how do I keep the light from my bathroom window without anyone seeing in? Blinds and curtains block both. Replacement glass is expensive. Window film does the one job you want, and nine years later it's all we do. We bring samples to your home or office, measure every pane, cut the film in our shop and install it in a single visit.

Why Film

Better Than Blinds

Daylight Stays

Blinds and curtains block the view and the light together. Frosted film blocks only the view.

A Fraction Of New Glass

Obscure or etched replacement glass means new panes and often new frames. Film goes on the glass you have.

Nothing To Clean Around

No slats to dust and no cords. Wipe it like ordinary glass with a soft cloth.

Light In, View Out

★★★★★
Our bathroom window looks straight at the neighbor's kitchen. Fairlow brought three frosted samples, we picked a soft etched look, and it was done in under an hour. Light still pours in and nobody can see a thing.

We moved into an office with glass on every wall. A frosted band at eye level and our logo on the conference room door made it feel finished and private for a fraction of what new walls would cost.

The sidelights by our front door showed the whole hallway to anyone on the porch. The gradient film fades from frosted to clear and looks like it came with the door.

Questions

Privacy Film Questions

How much does privacy window film cost?

Frosted film starts at $10 a square foot installed and decorative or gradient film at $14. A typical bathroom window runs $150 to $300. Send a photo and rough size and we'll reply with a price.

Does one-way film work at night?

No. One-way film works when it's brighter outside than inside. At night, with lights on indoors, people can see in. For 24-hour privacy, choose frosted or decorative film.

Will I still get natural light?

Yes. Frosted and decorative films let most of the daylight through while blurring shapes. That's the main reason people choose film over blinds.

Can film be removed later?

Yes. It peels off cleanly and any adhesive washes away, which is why renters and offices with changing layouts like it.

How long does it take?

A bathroom window or a front door takes under an hour. A full office floor of glass walls usually takes a day.
